Old Town Road to EGOT

My old ENT recommended I do it. I just set it to the lowest pressure and fill it with warm water and it's like the same kind of irrigation I used to get at the ENT's office. Doesn't damage my ears or anything.

That's what a doctor's office will use to lavage the ear canal to force something out that's lodged. It's gentle enough to not burst an ear drum, but puts enough water in there to get behind any matter to dislodge it.

Nifty thing, discovered that the cheapy kindle tablet might be compatible with it, and if it is, that makes my life a LOT easier.

Aside from looking up my butt (recreationally) I have no use for one of these (academically).

It's got some accessories ( a magnet and a hook, and a mirror), so you can annoy anyone in the bathroom by untying their shoes or something.

JAMES BOND NEVER DID THAT, and really, he should have at least once.

Please don't bring that into any sort of bathroom unless you, at best, expect to stammer out an embarrassed explanation. At worst, 1-3 years.

My wife and I are going to do some wreck diving - I am interested in some simple cave diving, but fear may preclude me from trying. If you want to lose sleep read Diver Down that book freaked me out.

If you don't have sidewalks where you live and don't want to be turned into roadkill while walking/jogging/running on the road this is actually a good idea.

$30 to save your life.

When conditions aren't perfect I also wear a hi viz, reflector vest, like that one. You can tell when a driver gets startled noticing you. It's a visible jerk of the wheel.

Bingo. I live in the country so no sidewalks. The road is narrow and hilly so there isn't much space to get off the road for traffic.

Thankfully, since it's a rural area I was only passed by one car last night on my 2 mile walk.

Try cavern diving, it's not all that different from wreck diving, but will give you a taste of it. There are a lot of really easy caverns out there, some with with a lot more overhead than others.

In my training class we had to turn off our lights and take off our mask and find our way out of the cavern using only the line we ran on our way in.

There is a fairly high body count associated with cave diving - probably a good drill to have down. We will definitely try caverns and wrecks first.

Had to do the same thing with my wreck diving course. Follow the line back out again with no mask on, simulate a silt-out.

Yeah, I dig caverns, but I have no interest in serious cave diving. I went a couple hundred feet past the cave line with my instructor in a cave he knew well just to check it out. That was enough for me.

Even in urban areas it can be brutal. My part of Vancouver is adding super bright LED lights to problem areas because people are getting run over nearly every day in winter when it gets dark at 4pm.
