Do they just duplicate the equipment with a backup or strip the lost items from other accounts? they will tell you the date the items were stripped, and who did it. but item recoveries rarely happen. very rarely do they generate items, in fact i don't think anyone but rogaine(sic) himself would have the power to do so and he never really does this. so most of the time your items are ~gone in the wind~ as most account strippings are the result of players RMTing off and selling every login they have access to. or at the very least the items have already passed through many hands. if the items themselves are recoverable eg: on the account of the person who stole them, then they may be recovered. i got the items back by figuring out who did it myself & talking to them. turns out the account owner's brother had given the info to someone who then loaned all the gear to an RL friend of his who just started playing everquest, and they had intended to give the items back when the account owner returned to EQ. the account owner really only plays seasonally and the person borrowing the items is very well trusted with his brother. the only real problem here is that nobody told the owner of the account, or the owner of the items (me.) all the gear's still there and he's getting it back. Oh drat I didn't know that was Yevea that got stripped, I remember giving him a white scale when the goons from EL merged into God's Work to finish his epic. I had been wondering where he went for a while after I took a break, any idea if he will ever come back? Didn't know those posts were about yevea being stripped. Also I know sirken can generate items, Whether he tells people he can or can't hes done it in the past although maybe he lost the power recently not sure. We actually tossed a lot of epics/end game kunark gear at the goons that came over to GW pre GW/Holo split quit. Was just kind of wondering where a lot of those people disappeared to, never seen the names on again.

Then I took that gear and loaned it to another bard (Vile's little brother.) Then one of Vile's friends stripped his little bro's account to borrow to level a bard with since he wasn't playing, but neither of them told him. I had access to the account which got stripped, and we both freaked out when we found out it was stripped. But it's all cool now, mystery's been solved and Yevea's gear is in one piece! Somebody else jacked the scales shortly after Yevea quit, not sure what ever happened to them unless he gave them to someone after quitting (i hope) So basically Yevea got stripped by me, with his permission. I've had all the stuff from his account sitting around in case he came back all this time, until the other day when I told Vile's little bro he could keep it. He's came back to the thread a few times but he's always said he's not going to play p99 again. Haven't seen any of those other guys come back either. Wish they would, some of the chillest elf friends I've had. All the cool people always retire because they have lives, unlike us. btw yevea, what was your steam name again? i have too many people on this poo poo. Yeah, I am pretty sure most people quit. I stopped playing around December of last year after starting at new job which was also around when EL fell apart and I think a few people moved over to Gods Work? I have just recently started playing again but have only seen a few people from before so far such as Hardon and Coolbert. Shaman and Enchanter are both fantastic classes which will be super fun. Both get bind affinity, useful group abilities, etc. The big question here is would you rather kite or pokemon-battle when you're soloing? (Or do you just not care and wanna group all day?) Is this your first 1999 character? If so DEFINITELY don't play warrior.

Things like best spawns, zone experience bonus tables, etc. dictate where the best group camps are. There are some groups in EC/WC fighting orcs but that's a few levels higher. At low level by far your best bet at groups are in gfay (greater faydark) starting at orc hill around level 4-5 and then heading into crushbone for several levels. You may wanna grab like level 3 or 4 before you head over there though. There might be some newbies grouping outside Kelethin at lower level or same with outside Freeport, you can always /who and try sending tells to players in your level range but in my experience people tend to just kinda struggle through the first few levels solo. Its a bit slow and dull but the levels go fast at least compared to higher levels. If going from Freeport to GFay sounds like a huge trek for you (it is) see if any goons are on that can teleport you (like me!) or otherwise just do /who all dial and message any of those players and ask kindly for a teleport. That's a whole guild of taxi services. For noobies they usually don't ask for much of a tip, just whatever you can spare if anything. Head over to the WC druid ring if you want a port. If you really need I could hop on and port you over but I might be busy tonight.

Guess TMO took a hit on red or something, Had 10-15 new apps to Empire. Had 88 in ToV today for misc stuff, parsed over 1800 melee dps on eashen/ikky, 1200 on klandi but klandi sucks and we had less people for it anyway. Was a few weeks ago but I recall having some 1200 dps on vyemm and he was dropping super quick, before a few more rogues/monks acquired primals. Looking like Red will be doing some AoW attempts/kills soon now that we have enough clerics in one spot! Can't wait to kill that bastard. Too bad giants bane doesn't work on AoW, At least I am assuming this because technically hes not a giant, and I heard it doesn't work on statue and they should be classified as the same thing. Finally saw that Lance of Thunder drop, good stats, but probably best looking weapon in game also! A ogre just happened to loot it, and its huge. If anyone is starting out new on red and needs some newbie gear/slots/weapons let me know, Don't really have a full set of anything in particular but I have misc pieces of this and that everything from ravenscale to blackened iron, some random kael/sg/ww armor drops(dragon hide legs, arms) Got various weapons, mostly piercers. I have just been placing it all on level 1s to look cool so far, don't feel like selling it. I check this thread daily so feel free to post up. PS if you are starting on red, and want to raid end game, cleric shaman enchanter pretty good class to be!

I rerolled on red after getting to 14 with my necro on blue. Kurn's was pretty camped at all times of day and from what people on the forums say, that's a good zone that's not overcamped. Also, it felt like there were a dozen silent players all focused on soloing instead of grouping up (twinked, etc.). Red experience bonus is pretty sweet so I got to 8 quickly, but I find myself short on funds for spells with my higher level character unable to transfer. If someone would be willing to take money/peridots near FP and give money in FoB, I would be grateful. My necro's name is Cruft and I should be on tonight. How terrible are necros in pvp?

Don't suppose any goons are in the top blue raiding guilds? don't really know whos top or what the rotations are like or whatever the rules there are. Just curious what draco and CT loots blue has seen. Maybe golems too though I hear they have had better luck with AoNs then red. I saw a golem drop 4 items today (3 blood fires LOL + crimson robe) and beyond a 3 drop loot, none of us knew there was a potential 4 slot drop off golems. So far though draco been shawls and shields, 2 belts. Best was probably double shawl, but equally as many bad drops(ring or bone razors etc) I also understand that draco can have a extra chance to drop AoN since he has all of CT loot table? Just unsure what the drop rates are like for his newer items compared to old ones. WTB mrylo daggers off vulak, red hasn't seen a single one yet and I hear blue has at least 4-5 drop already. Guess red is getting totally diff loot drops.

It is really easy to get caster items with both int and charisma on them, and you get good charisma stat buffs early on. Don't worry too much about gear, it'll be good enough whatever you do. Getting AC and hps is more difficult and perhaps not so important if you're just leveling. MP you don't have to worry about since you have mana regen from level 16 onwards.
