The saw cleaver is the easiest to use and does good work if you just level up strength and dexterity

I probably have like 10 playthroughs of this game left to do just because I used the saw cleaver for this whole run with the boom hammer as my backup once the dlc came out. I think I'm gonna try the starting axe for my next run. Some of the weapons in the DLC are going to be really hard to get early so I might have to do ng+ runs to use those. Same. I died more on those fish guys for the Maria weapon than I did to Maria. The saw whip thing is pretty close to the start so I'll prolly make a strength character and rush to get that early on.

Can't stop thinking about the Lady Maria fight...it's perfect. I really hope Dark Souls 3 has fights like hers. just watching my winning fight with her over and over.apropos to nothing posted:Same. I ended up stabbing one of them with a shaman blade after a while, but the second one was still a bitch to take out. They're hard as hell and have a weird 4 hit combo that I never expect to keep going.

There were so many close calls, and the second phase is ridiculous but I really love that fight. Right now I'd say that he and Maria are my two favorite souls bosses ever but I still haven't fought the final boss of Bloodborne and I missed Cainhurst. OoK goes apeshit when you get him to low hp, it's really crazy and it was so satisfying to finally win. I think he's the only souls boss I've ever fought where the direction that you dodge actually affects whether or not you'll be hit, so not only do you need to learn the dodge timings you also need to know which way to dodge. so good. http://www.twitch.tv/travsouls/v/27867541 Can't wait to finish the game tomorrow and get started on another character. Hunters axe is still my favorite weapon out of the original games set. The halberd always felt too slow to me in the souls games, but its juuuuust right here. Try not to abuse the spin to win r2 too much, as satisfying \ effective it tends to be

Beat the game. My saw cleaver broke during the Gerhman fight so I had to change my strategy for Moon Presence and use the boom hammer. those fights ruled

I'm loving the hell out of my hunter axe and stake driver combo. Gonna mix some arcane stuff in as well when I find it. Went all the way to Witch of Hemwick and I'm looking forward to tackling the forest tomorrow and finding the secret entrance to the clinic.

Also is it just me or does the blunderbuss leave enemies vulnerable for less time than the pistol after a parry? If that's true then I'm going to switch back to the pistol or try out a different firearm like ludwig's rifle or something.
