that one's really cool in speedruns because the one you have to kill is ever so slightly different visually from the others, so it's faster to look at all of them and find the right one than it is to just kill them randomly

this is true. you have to kill like 5 or 10 of them before the one you actually one comes out of his hole. this was one of my favorite fights because it forces you to learn crowd control and how the ai moves when grouped up.

gf beat nashadra today while I haven't even rang the second bell in prepare to die. :( at least i'm at quelaag domain so it's v soon

Been trying to get through 1 with minimal guides in preparation for 3 and it's been a seriously rocky road. Nothing worse than breaking your drake sword and getting cursed in blighttown and having to haul your rear end all the way to that bruv in new londo ruins.

the female undead merchant in the lower burg sells curse cures. also quelaag is fairly easy as far as souls bosses are concerned, and if you need a summon maneater mildren is a great tank.

also if it makes you feel any better, when you inevitably replay dark souls 1 you'll beat quelaag within like three hours of spawning in the asylum :v:

do not use the drake sword when the halberd is available so early in the game

i meaningfully used drake sword once, on my first playthrough when i struggled with passing two archers in anor londo - i had problem kicking the right archer off the ledge without getting shot or falling down. solution was to gently caress the right archer up with charged drake sword hit.

welp thats my drake sword story tyvm 4 reading

drake is fine early on before you get to a smith. after that it gets sketchy

best way to deal with the anor londo bridge archer is two hand r2 overhand smash with a zweihander :getin:

i liked having to "fight" for the solution there, honestly, even if it was only 11 attempts. with every bloody game handholding you on a level that would make a beetroot beat it, it was very refereshing to have demon souls and the like repeatedly kick you in the gut - you had the space to meaningfully explore your rear end off if you wished to do so

I beat them on the first try

And pretty consistently thereafter

The only people who have trouble with the bridge archers are already playing Dark Souls wrong, i.e. using a shield
