It sounds bullshit because the details don't add up. The criminal case against the other driver would never go to court, because he would have shown the dashcam footage to the police/prosecution and he never would have been charged in the first place. Also people can't just fake injuries in criminal proceedings, she would have to undergo some kind of examination to determine the extent and severity of her injuries.

You would think if you had dashcam video of the accident, that would be the first thing you show to the officer that showed up to the scene of it. Why would you keep it just to go "everything she just said is bullshit!" at a later date, wasting your time and money in court? I guess you could if you really wanted to stick it to her by adding a perjury charge on top of everything else, but who has the time for that? It sounds like something out of a bad courtroom movie where everything is twisted to be more dramatic than it actually would be. I'll admit I believed/enjoyed it when I first read it but it doesn't really make sense when you think about it.

My battalion was issued several dozen of them shortly after we deployed, and within a week and a half six of them had snapped half-shafts (mostly more than one each). Also our Alpha company was really good at getting them stuck in canals. I once spent thirty-three hours in a guard tower because six different convoys had to go out to a fiasco which started as a single MRAP backed into a canal and escalated to two wreckers and a combat engineering crane breaking down on the site. We actually wound up canceling several routine patrols the next day because of how few people on our patrol base had gotten any sleep.

I've often thought about getting two buddies and each of us driving a large windowless van up and down the interstate and acting as a sort of a "Courtesy Patrol" wherein one of us would see some rear end in a top hat blocking the passing lane for too long by normal standards of course and work our way towards said rear end in a top hat. Eventually with one van directly in front, one directly behind and one to his/her immediate right we would "persuade " this person off the road, get them out of everyone's way, and teach them the finer points of trying to be a decent human being while behind the wheel. Of course, this is only a dream.

They actually got the crowd to boo the Rock for celebrating with Roman after he had won the Royal Rumble. The crowd hated Roman so much that they hated Rocky for associating with him and he was supposed to be the badass hero that overcame two giants and a Russian.
