Yeah, I was kind of disappointed with the crystalline ore requirements. It makes sense for the vendors and stuff in HoT, but I don't see why they have to gate guild hall stuff with it too. Maybe they'll change it like they did with the furniture.

Why couldn't they at least use a fairly even mix of all the currencies? It feels like crystalline ore is used way more than everything else. I don't want to spend all eternity farming dragon's stand.

What else do you need for the guild armor? Can you get them via other means? I thought the light armor legs look nice so whenever I get my PC fixed I might try to make them unless its another gold sink.

It seems like they finally got around to adding in some new stuff but failed to test or actually play the game mode. You can replace the above with PvE, PvP or WvW game modes for Heart of Thorns. It's almost like they are trying to beat out some other imaginary MMO, but the rest of the genre is killing itself slowly at the same time. WoW/FFXIV are the two I've played in the past couple months and they both seem to have declining subs after their latest expansion lost steam. I'm still playing almost everyday but I mostly just gently caress around in the guild hall/chat, do some JPs or run Fractals since they're just dungeons with a different name and arguably better rewards. They seemed to have a switched gears to catering to the dudes farming Silverwastes. I was hoping there would be a point to grinding out these factions but without new skins I just feel like I'm grinding for useless reputation (or for map completion :fist:). Please don't die GW2, SAB OR RIOT! Edit: reading this post again it sounds like a repeat of launch week HoT, sorry for that. I love the game but I just don't like where its headed as of right now. afaik the bulk of your crystalline ore farming will come from noxious pods at the end of every DS. I think I've farmed maybe 150 pieces from about 7-8 DS runs? Nevermore requires like 500 but christ I'm already bored shitless of DS, dont think I'll ever be bothered to farm that much. any spvp nerds know what the best track is for pure money making? I've been playing the poo poo out of spvp but scared my hard earned points are going into a poo poo track  we should get cryst ore from pvp

Don't forget to get the Guild Percentage buff for reward tracks, if you can get a partial group, it's pretty easy to blow through tracks using unranked que.

If you're in a gambling mood, go for the paths that give out BL keys.

My only 2 80s are a Daredevil and a Berserker and I've been having tons of fun with them (PvE mainly, only some really casual sPVP on the Daredevil). However, judging by the talk on various forums, my enjoyment of these two classes will probably only last until I decide to play another class. That said, Mesmer, Ele, or Necro?

Couldn't post this when I got it since forums were down, but I am now a proud owner of a Space Axe! Very happy with it - the footprints, unsheathe effects, and space arms are all amazing. That said, I don't think I'll ever want to craft a HoT legendary ever again.
