I kind of feel like PGI should farm out their engine and art assets for someone else to do MW5 or something, they'd make a decent bit off of that I bet.

Oh I know, I can't wait for a proper (ie, turnbased) BT game, but a cockpit stompy robot game is its own niche that we could use another one of. :downsgun:

Just use PGI assets and pull a MW4 and use a bunch of FMV of dudes in space-1980s gear. :black101:

Pretty much the best thing that could happen for MWO is someone else just taking over, which is what makes this whole situation so sad. Hell, firing two people may be all it takes if 19 is the rule and not the exception at the company.

The old mechlab used to make me real mad, the new one doesn't.

I kind of sneakily like the new match choosing minigame too, it's pointless and dumb but it's pretty, it fills a gap and has a hilarious meta associated with it where (I'm guessing) everyone is trying to pick the map they think no one else will want to bump their multiplier up.

Eh, usually I get in a game with no more than a minute or two of waiting. A lot of it is also dependent on what mech you're piloting. When the Marauder dropped the line was nuts if you were driving a heavy, but anything else got right in.

Do you consider drive by "game is bad" posts as "irrationally angry"?

Because I haven't seen anyone get real invested in calling it a bad game. Just calling it and leaving for the most part.

I would say that downloading the game, installing it, and playing it for the minimum amount of time just to leave a negative review to be slightly unhinged.

Not that I'm suggesting that a negative review would be wrong, I just can't see how anyone could be justified in being that mad about the game to go through that much effort.

Yeah, after the Tukibad event the war is over but then we get sucked back in time and we're stuck in a bad SciFi time loop episode.

Keep in mind the minimum time we are talking about here is literally 5 minutes. I'd say that's a low effort enterprise in the grand scheme of things.

Note that I have not done this myself.

e: Fun fact: many people think the 5 minute threshold for reviews is too little. But at least one indie developer complained that five minutes was more time than it takes to finish their game so it was unfairly difficult for people to review their product. Just a little lol for you folks.

Also, you might have fun. If you go through a 1-round/1-drink rule like I do, you won't even remember it the next day and can stay legit mad.
