I wish you guys would not freak out quite so much. There is plenty of objectionable content on that website and its founders have an history of being creepy, but that does not make everyone who mentions it a piece of poo poo. Mraagvpeine in particular literally used it to provide a list of common trends in media, which is just about the most innocent use you can get out of it.

The whole thing reminds me of the heyday of the Harry Potter fandom back when I was 14 and people shipped characters that not only never interacted with each other but had no way of interacting with each other. Charlie Weasley/Regulus Black? Sure whatever. Draco Malfoy/Grindelwald? Why not. McGonagall/the Giant Squid? There's a fic out there somewhere. I found it amusing as a 14 year old, not so much as an adult.

Shipping started because it used to be actual gay relationships were something you'd basically never see in mainstream media, so people just sort of imagined that any two male characters with a connection were totally boning.

I just caught up with Vs Time, Weirdmageddon I and Weirdmageddon II today. Really enjoyed it, but Cthuluian horrors are not something I expected to see on Disney these days.

All this shipping talk reminds me of one of the AV Club's reviews that was just an excuse for the reviewer to say "btw please ship Dipper and Pacifica." It was pretty drat stupid, plus I doubt it'll happen with one episode left. Also, I miss when TV Tropes was a fun way to kill a couple of hours getting lost in the links. Then it went all Wikipedia and got a dedicated community of editors and that's when it went to hell. Nothing good can last in the world. Mainly I just came here to see if they announced a date for the last episode, since the OP hasn't been updated in forever. I guess not.
