I still feel like I have the best roster in our league but man this team has been garbage. If I lose this week, that pretty much does it for the playoffs. Maybe I'll finally draft a RB in the first three rounds.

Don't get me wrong, if we went to playoffs right now, I would be the one getting in. It is just not intuitive if a 3-7 team gets into the playoffs (your example). I don't care enough to argue it though.

I don't care enough to argue it though. It's not intuitive to have win/loss records when you have no ability to affect the performance of your opponent. Total points scored is a way better metric at determining the best teams.

Since playoffs are nearing and I once again am relishing the probability of losing in the semis and never seeing the finals, how does seeding work again? Is the fourth place seed the points leader, or are all four playoff candidates seeded based on points?

My team decided to poo poo the bed today as well though(Amari Cooper with 0 catches and Greg Olsen who only played for 1 half) so we may end up with an entire division of 9-5 teams. It will depend on total points scored over the season to determine who gets the spot so it likely will still be B4BG in the playoffs. edit: Looks like Newtonian Fluid will get the wild card spot so I am probably completely out now. FYI looking at the settings, unless playoffs are manually seeded, it looks like it will be overall record, THEN total points. Standings are set in that order, and I don't see any other rules in the MFL settings that say otherwise. It's in the bylaws, so we should just make sure that it takes properly when it comes to playoffs. Basically, 2 of the three of us (OhSnap, B4BG, Me) will make it to the playoffs. Just depends on who gets the most points and whether OSG / B4BG win their games. And if both of you win / lose, who scores more points.
