I prestiged and I'm focusing on snipers and lmgs this time. I started out with the Drakon and people get so furious at you using it. Now I won't stop just because I know people will complain.

So I finally got the "shoot down the RAPS ship before it drops its load" challenge done (post-buffs) with the BMR with the FMJ attachment, and Blackcell. After the buffs you can't lock on to off-map streaks with your launcher, but you can still shoot them. Then I shot down the wraith that he called in right after that! The (pre-change) Gorgon is the only thing that got me hatemail on BO3 so far. Although I was also running scavenger and trip mines so the genius who abused me kept dying trying to sneak behind me. I know I was pissing off the rest of their team too (just camping the barn entrance from A side on Infection), because their Spectre used cloak and an Argus to kill me once  (I promptly went back to my corner and resumed Had a 36-0 game earlier! I'd post it but a) everyone quit so I didn't get to see how high I could go and b) they were, afaict, actual vegetables resting on controllers, so it was totally uninteresting. Also the GI Unit sucks  It kills a lot, but it's just not worth it when the Mothership is 100 points off and far far nastier. If I'm going to go for a 1500+ point streak, it needs to be a monster, and the GI Unit isn't. Power Core being as high as it is is also idiotic. Don't see myself ever using it again now that I'm done with challenges for it.The mid level offensive streaks or care package/engineer are the real winners imo, though Hellstorm is still trash. I'll post some of the uninteresting builds I use for more defensive/campy AR/LMG setups later for any campers in the house. Using my typical 5 perk setup on those weapons is a waste both because I'm not rushing and because they often need 3-4 attachments to perform well. ... which is pretty stupid when I think about it, since I have a higher k/d with basically every sub than any of the ARs or LMGs (M8/Dredge don't count).

I've not tried any camping on this version (I would camp like gently caress on AW, but how else can you call in 3 paladins a match without having to Get Good?) When I end up going for the mothership I'll have to camp. I'm good at run and gunning but I will, without fail, make a stupid mistake even if I'm doing well (read as: Bad lobby.) This will include dying during a 10+ kill run on Hunted by failing the jump from B to the building, running into someone on the wall at the side of combine and then falling to my death or my usual of hitting reload, then running directly at someone in their line of sight awarding them an easy buzzkill medal. There's no way I can stop my thirst to gently caress my own streaks up long enough to get motherships reliably. I assume a LMG build is the way forward for campers? I can't see snipers working outside of "converted to AR" Drakons but I have little experience with them. E: Oh yeah, is there an online resource to get the BO3 calling card images? I haven't really done snipers much yet because I generally hate them, I'd guess they'd work fine. Frankly if I can call in a mothership with a Dingo or a Manowar, you can call in a mothership with anything. As far as getting longer streaks more consistently, I have some thoughts on that too, but it's pretty meta gameplay poo poo, which is getting a little too MLG for me to ramble on. Here I'll boil it down: Buy a scuf and some headphones, don't challenge the loving M8/Sheiva/Sniper camper, don't reload your gun, and yes the spawns just flipped on you. It largely comes down to play style over perk setup, which is sort of the opposite of the smg/shotgun rushing (well, I mean, clearly there's a playstyle there: rush their spawn and hammer on the jump button in every firefight). And you don't want to be too campy (Gorgon excepted), otherwise it takes foreeevvvverrrrrr to get your streaks. In Dom I usually try to rush B early, get a few capture kills to propel my score up, then play more conservatively until spawns are about to flip, get that free cap on A/C, and at that point you just have to be Not Dumb to get your last streaks. Alternatively: Just play Kill Confirmed and use Combat Focus. Wayyyy easier and faster. Demo can be ok, Hardpoint is a bitch, forget TDM or Safeguard. Oh. Uplink. Uplink is grand That mode is pretty fun, loaded with some of the worst players I've seen in the game and the spawns are relatively static, leading to hilarious farming.Haven't seen any ready resource for calling cards no, I know someone extracted camos from the pc version, so maybe they did the same for ccs?

Yeah I'd assume they'd be PC exports. Cheers for the info, I'm pretty much a new player when it comes to the non-running and gunning side. Reloading is pretty much always my downfall, you're so right on pointing that out. I instinctively reload after every kill, which is where my (non-fall to my death/grenade myself) deaths tend to come from. I've done it on every cod since I started on BO1 and it's that one reflex I can't seem to kill off. I tried switching to the Weevil so I had no reason to hit it, but I still find myself doing it. Fast mags usually covers me but I need to get rid of my third gun accessory so I can bring back a tactical and sight to my builds. I can't continue using the iron sights on the Man O War, they are trash. I'll experiment tonight although I'm going to the pub for a couple so all data will be useless. My problem is still stupid little mistakes which with a SMG I can get away with by turning and fleeing like a coward whilst I draw them into a trap/heal up. Basically I run two classes at the moment, which are subject to constant change. Running I go with Kuda (ext. mags, QD, rapid fire) then ghost, hard wired, dead silence and awareness. I may go back to scavenger, drop ext. mags, change rapid fire to grip and then add an elo and flashbang. For long range maps I go KN-44/Man O War w/ long barrel, grip and rapid fire/high calibre. Then pretty much the same as above. It's my run and gun with an AR, but it works, even without QD. Awareness seems like the only "MUST HAVE" campy perk. Maybe double it up with sixth sense to have you 100% covered? Then just invest in attachments.You can tell I do not camp much. Bring back 4 scorestreaks and system hack abuse god drat it. This is the most of typed about a game in a long time, jeez. E: I love KC but I spend most of my life on dom. I should start switching more. I haven't even touched TDM yet this game but I imagine it'll be hilariously easy after facing the generally better players found in the other modes. Unlocked hero head and body for Reaper. It's black and gold and looks nice. I played considerably longer than I meant to (roughly 17 hours) and now I'm 9th/lv40-something when I was just hoping for getting to 9th over the weekend.

I see some of the higher prestiged guys running it before level 46 but I guess most pubbies just want a robot arm with a minigun. As an aside I loving hate the scythe and I'm glad I've finished the challenges for that dumb robot. Pubby-wise, the specialist weapon/skill I see the most before its unlock level is the annihilator. Another goon gave me good advice though...try to get one hit marker (death in 2 seconds for them) and then jump around like an idiot
