Hello thread! My deepest apologies for completely missing a set of choices, but I think I made a solution! I've appended new content to the end of 1-5 and reuploaded it, as well as creating a new poll. Here's the new video! Skip to 18:40 for the new content related to the choice! You now have four exciting choices to choose from! Poll is closed! If you voted in the previous poll, please vote in the new one!!! I'm discarding the other poll's results bc I'm a big ol dingus! Super sorry about that! Panzer Skank fucked around with this message at 21:21 on Dec 12, 2015 |

Honesty is the best policy. Stay out and pass the blame to Chloe!

Staying out and not taking the fall is the best option. We're not kids anymore and Chloe need to grow up and take responsibility for her actions.

Hide and stay hidden. Chloe is way too willing to throw us under the bus, we don't need Colonel Asshat giving us any more trouble just to protect her in this one singular instance.

I''m still for hiding and then intervening. Major Douchelord does not need to be smacking Chloe around, plus as someone else in the thread mentioned, if this weirdo has cameras everywhere he's gonna know we were in the closet. Sure, we could just not hide, but then we get less favor with Chloe.

Gonna have to stick to mimicking servalance cameras with Hiding and staying hidden

My instinct is to game the poo poo out of this choice and hide then intervene. I don't trust Max to remember Chekhov's literal gun if you rewind, and I bet knowing about it is going to be helpful later. If it comes to that, I don't think Chloe has any obligation to take responsibility for anything in this situation anyway. I might feel differently if it were anyone but Constable Cuntwipe. Max was already a lovely friend to Chloe once and that was enough. To make up for that, we need to make sure to never be lovely to her again.

This game is full of good tracks but "Piano Fire" isn't one. "Santa Monica Dream" is much more my jam! At least until we get further into the week. Hide and intervene! Chloe could use a break, it's not like David can call our mom anyway. Hah!

I kept wondering, didnt Max realize a lot earlier that Mr. Arsehole from school was Chloe's stepdad? I mean, she saw his military ID and a lot of photos of him. But she kept referring to him as "step dad", and "he must be this or that". I never knew about actually hiding in the closet. I freaked out and David caught me in the room when I played. Also, I had no idea Chloe had a gun. That... is totally not good. But better than what I thought it was-- that Nathan had somehow gotten that gun from him and/or Chloe. As for choices, let's... ugh. This is a difficult one. I vote HIDE and then STEP IN. He's gonna put you on his black list anyway... and I hate to think that may happen if we continue to be unaware that Chloe has a gun. At least if we know, it may mean something someday. (I havent played the game past chapter 1, so I hope I'm not speculating correctly)

So I accidentally lost our save data (which sucks) but it's no big deal, I just played through again tonight and got it back to the same point. However! I did learn another new thing about this fricking game! Once you pick up Warren's flash drive in Dana's room, you can actually plug it into her laptop and check the contents Nothing mind-blowing or game changing but I thought it was a neat little detail! -(´・ω・` ):.

Warren is the kind of kid that probably posts on forums.SomethingAwful.com. He only gets goonier as the game goes on. Well.... we'll get there when we get there.

also from what I understand a big complaint against this game is that people say teenagers don't act the way they're portrayed in the game so I don't mind being the one to say "actually I can at least confirm this character is a little too accurate"

I feel like the developers based the characterization off of a few movies.

Hello, as someone who was actually 18 at the time this game is set, I can say that the behavior of these teens is, in general, incredibly spot on and also very frustrating for just that reason. Being a teen is frustrating and looking back on being a teen is frustrating!!! There are, of course, concessions to be made for the fact that this is both a Drama and a video game, and a video game capturing and simulating every detail of Teen Life and the way teens act, live, converse or whatever would just Not Work, but it's still super good about it.

I definitely think we should go with the options that make Chloe the happiest with us. I was a little more on the fence about it until someone pointed out that David has the entire house wired with cameras, so he probably finds out we were here even if we stay hidden. Teenagers don't really think rationally and Chloe's already pissed at Max so getting her to be super open and fill us in on as much as possible seems like the best bet! Having said that this feels like the Kate decision: Round 2. We're basically choosing whether we want to support someone emotionally or gather evidence against David.

Blue haired chick is great, be BFFs with blue haired chick forever, screw everybody else. I'm interested to see what happens next and I'm getting drat close to buying this myself. I agree that things in this game are cliche teen life to the extreme, but I don't think the game would have been as charming if things weren't the way they are. And as I said, blue haired chick is the best, be BFFs with Chloe at the expense of every other person.

May I just say that I love that little -kinda face that Max draws on everything. It is a nuanced icon that's crucial to understanding her as a character. It is also adorable. This is my Life Is Strange opinion.

Hello good morning! It's Monday so that means it's time for a NEW VIDEO Today we close out Episode 1 and go sight-seeing with Chloe! Here are the new journal pages! Our closing song for this episode is: Syd Matters - Obstacles [lyrics] edit: Oh! before I forget, here's our decisions vs the global player percentages! There are some interesting contrasts in the Major polls, but I thought the funniest bit was that 25% of all players didn't make it into the closet??? How?? I doubt hardly anyone didn't go into the closet, probably people finding out after they finished and half not giving a poo poo and the other half seeing and going "glad Im not this bad at adventure game, cause these choices are hard."
