People tend to overhype cards too much, and the competitive players need them NOW ON THE DAY OF PRE-RELEASE RIGHT THIS MOMENT and don't wait for them to actually come down in price.

It's pretty easy to manipulate the market too. Remember last year when Spell Chronicle of all things got purposely overhyped to show how easily manipulable the market is? That was a fun week.

To support Konami so they keep making new cards?

Half the fun of any card game for me is playing off other people. You get to see their reactions to your plays, and bluffing is a lot easier if you can keep a straight face.

Hell, even the back and forward between players is fun. It's fun discussing decks and builds with people irl at tournaments.

Then again, I have a group of irl friends who play YGO so

This is a pretty useless way of putting it. Do you go into bicycle threads and tell people that there are ways of moving around that don't require spending hundreds on a bike and the effort to maintain it?

Also you don't need thousands of dollars nor being a pro to have fun with the game. I've been playing the game for a long time and all of my decks haven't been very expensive.

Infernoid has costed me about 80 dollars (when harmadik was 20 a piece) and is about the 3rd strongest deck right now, behind kozmo and performage/magician pendulum, which both cost upwards of 300-400 dollars.

THE LIAR
People spend their money on all kinds of weird poo poo for personal enjoyment. Kazuki Takahashi's entire hope for Yu-Gi-Oh (besides making him embarrassingly wealthy, I imagine) was that people would use the game to make friends. The entire underlying theme of the franchise is "Play a game with someone to make a connection."

Well. "Pay me so you can play a game with someone to make a connection." Same diff.

But yeah if you're having fun and making friends, who cares how much it costs. Stuff costs money.

There's some fun looking cards here. Water decks are going to love Number 37, and Number 38 is mean.

Magic King Moon Star.
Is going into every deck I have.
At 3.

quote:

Number 84: Pain Gainer
Rank 11 DARK Insect-Type Xyz Effect Monster
ATK 0
DEF 0
2 Level 11 monsters
You can also Xyz Summon this card by using a Rank 9 or 10 DARK Xyz Monster you control that has 2 or more Xyz Material as the Xyz Material. (Xyz Materials attached to that monster also become Xyz Materials on this card.)
①: This card gains DEF {equal to the total Ranks of all Xyz Monsters you control x ?00.}
② If this card in a Monster Zone has Xyz Material attached, when your opponent activates a Spell or Trap Card: Inflict ?00 damage to your opponent.。
③: Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; destroy all monsters your opponent controls with DEF equal to or less than the DEF of this card.

this is the most anime card.
I LOVE IT.

Also RANK 11 XYZ. One off but good enough.

So, for those who haven't heard, X-Saber Palomuro of all things is starting to see maindeck play in Pendulum decks.

This is because he can make Naturia Beast with Gem-Knight Garnet / Performage Hat Tricker, or Trishula w/ 2 lvl 4s.

You have to love how hilariously overwrought some of these combos truly are.

It's an EARTH, Reptile-Type, Level 1 Tuner, searchable by a generic Rank 4.

The stars of the universe could not have aligned better for this crappy X-Saber to have this one chance in the spotlight. He didn't even see play when X-Sabers were a good deck!

Maha, it's kind of hard to find one on the DS/PSP without both. I'm just going to recommend Tag Force Special on the PSP. It has an english menu + card patch, it has no D-Wheels. Tag Duels are there for significant plot events sadly but it's still a recent enough game to have Nekroz in it.

That wasn't the full scan btw, and it hasn't been officially confirmed (their lists don't usually show pictures like that, but even if they do, the image is cut off)

Not saying that it might not be the list, but just saying that it isn't 100% confirmed.

Well, Pendulum Sorceror should be on the list, if they really wanted to kill off the deck. I can understand Damage Juggler, both for his searchability, his attribute (He helps Shaddolls), interactions with cards like Brilliant Fusion (mostly seen in TCG) and Wavering Eyes(Which should also be limited, if not banned, for its interactions in the Pendulum Mirror Match. Will now be searchable via Left Arm Offering.)

Damage Juggler doesn't help Shadolls because they banned Construct.
