Personally I believe that fm_santorini is a not good map at all. Not a huge fan of it, but goons are known for their good taste and goons seem to like this map. I won't discuss hitbox / gun changes because it's way to complex for me.

My thoughts are that it is another pie in the sky reddit post asking for stuff that has been brought up since 2012, and that it will disappear off the front page without a trace in a day or two with no indication Valve noticed. As for maps, the game doesn't necessarily need more maps, but I'd personally like to see tuscan/mill reintroduced because it is a simple map in the vein of d2/mirage/cache, and it would be nice to have another map like that in the pool for casual competitive purposes. Dunno anything about santorini though.

D2/inferno/mirage/overpass/cobble/train/nuke is plenty if they're up to fixing nuke. If not, could always get Season or Mill going. We have the maps, we just don't have the players to play them imo.

I posit this; why is a higher skill ceiling, which includes map knowledge, a thing to avoid. It's like sayin you shouldnt madter tap burst and spraying cause realistically you cant be godly in all 3. Im not trying to be a dickhead, i legitimately dont understand

Maps are really nothing to do with skill ceiling, it's a question of how much time a team has to work with in order to make strats. Teams already cannot and do not prepare every map for an event. Adding 10 more maps for funzies will actually make the overall skill level drop, because in order to succeed they will have to spread themselves thin attempting to learn most of them. Knowing a map here isn't just "drop me in and I remember most of the angles". Being "current" on a map takes a lot of behind the scenes practice.

I've seen this many times on reddit, but Please valve, I beg you. casual would be extremely funny if you actually could be a chicken if you died in that round, so you hop around and follow players :') I bet there will be wayyyy more people to pick up counterstrike because of the randomness and the funny stuff you can do as a chicken on casual, and I think people wouldnt be bored after they die  EDIT: or like the first 5/10 people that die in a match that can actually be a chicken after they die otherise they have to wait for like 1 or 2 minutes.

What could be interesting would be having a larger map pool (say, 12 or so), but only 7 or 8 of them being in active rotation, with one map being replaced every 4-6 months.
