Guess who's still making headlines!

quote:

Martin Shkreli, the medical entrepreneur widely criticized for ordering large drug price hikes, resigned Friday as CEO of Turing Pharmaceuticals, one day after federal authorities charged him in an unrelated securities fraud scheme.

The privately held company said Ron Tilles, chairman of the biopharmaceutical firm with offices in New York and Switzerland, will serve as interim CEO while retaining his current position.

"We wish to thank Martin for helping us build Turing Pharmaceuticals into the dynamic research focused company it is today, and wish him the best in his future endeavors, Tilles said in a statement issued with the announcement. "At the same time, I am very excited about the opportunity to guide Turing Pharmaceuticals forward."

It was unclear Friday whether Shkreli would also resign from KaloaBios Pharmaceuticals (KBIO), a separate company where he was appointed CEO in November.

It's not the overall point of the book, but Game Change, the book about the 2008 election, goes into a lot of detail about the fight between the Clinton and Obama people, and how vindictive and petty "Clinton world" can be over what it sees as disloyalty.

Forget Cuba or Iran, Obama's greatest diplomatic triumph was unifying those two factions of the Democratic party.

Me and some friends had a picnic once. There was a nice park full of squirrels and crows and other wildlife, in fact a few months after this story the petting zoo would be attacked by coyotes and all the rabbits they kept would be violently eaten, and we had KFC. As a joke one of my friends threw a piece of chicken to a squirrel. "Oh, woah dude! It's eating the loving chicken!" he shouted and we all watched with morbid fascination as the squirrel just went at this piece of chicken. Then more showed up. And soon we had a whole god damned colony of squirrels surrounding our picnic blanket. We left as soon as we could after that.

I was walking by a building and a sparrow just flew into the glass on the side, and then was just sortof flopping around on the ground. I was like, I hope that bird is just dazed... then a squirrel ran out of the bushes and just started chewing into the sparrows head, killing it, then dragged it off back into the bushes.

I honestly don't know. His thought process has sometimes been hard for me to understand, but this is the first time I truly have no idea what the hell he's on about.

Today has been chock full of political schaden for him, to stay on topic. He's a huge Bernie proponent (and literally the only reason I'm up to date on the presidential running is because he shares everything he finds out with me), and the whole Bernie vs. NDC debacle has had him practically dancing all evening.

Many herbivores will eat meat if given the option. The only reason they don't on their own is they didn't evolve to have the capability of successfully taking prey. Not that it would occur to them to try to take prey in the first place, but if you put meat into front of them and they like the smell, herbivores will go to town on it.

Was the general reaction and why it was so terrifying when the others showed up expecting food after the first one just dug into the meat. It was a lesson I never forgot though because it's pretty drat creepy.
