Started the night off as a naughty fangirl, which just about made my night. Made it to smokin' and defender and called it until tomorrow. Took about 45 minutes or so. Teams seem to be about the same, skill wise. At least I thought so. I'm convinced people don't take the splatling gun seriously. Why else would people insist on running around in my field of fire? Even if I don't hit them, I surround them in ink, which slows them down or distracts/confuses them long enough for me or my teammates to draw a bead on them. It's almost the same concept as the Aerosprays and buckets, but at longer range. e: Only need 20k more points with the heavy splatling to supplant the Aerospray RG! The new tri slosher is the perfect weapon. Before Splatfest started I got put into a team with three of them (including myself) and the enemy was echo'd the entire round. It was amazing.

I dunno, me with a slosherDeco and 3 squids with Aerosprays were on a winning streak of like a dozen rounds for Team Nice. This game is great. Im only level 12 and still learning, but I must have gotten in a pretty good groove today. I mostly acted as a "holepunch" for the more competent guys on my team. Built up my special meter and then Pacman'd the gently caress out into the enemy's territory.

this happens every splatfest. everyone comes in saying "team x is owning/sucking" and forget that they are participating in only a teeny tiny sample size of rounds and for each of them there is someone on the opposite side having the same experience.

Uh. Servers completely down for everyone else? I was on a roll with Team Naughty then had a couple consecutive lost connections mid-match, and now when I walk into the lobby it hangs on "Connecting to the Internet..." and then an error code. Is this normal mid-Splatfest? edit: nevermind, just got a connection. Yeah. I feel like it needs to be said every splatfest because it keeps coming up every splatfest, but it's basically impossible to predict these things from the ground. Just do your best and remember that win or lose, you get stuff. You get more stuff if you win, of course, but you still get stuff win or lose. I kept getting dropped earlier, then I got on a good team and after about a 10 game win streak without any of us dropping, I got disconnected in a lobby. 52 points away from Naughty King, but now I'm feeling like I won't get on a good team like that again and kind of want to just call it quits.
