Ohh this one has the added bonus of him being all excited to show everyone the magic behind memory hacking.

He was trying to freeze the invincibility state on Mario but then discovered the address that determines mario's face direction and he couldn't help himself locking it so now whenever Mario looks right the left side of his face is the left facing part of the sprite.

This part of the site is the most joyous, giant bomb should be nothing but Jeff and Jason hanging around "hacking" 30 year old NES platformers in between bouts of virtua fighter 2

It's one of those ones not only you have to protect someone but there's a bunch of time where you have to protect them from waves of enemies in a single location for a period of time.

I think it's a old man or a lady and there's a courtyard in this mansion thing and a bunch of spec ops guys are coming in to get you.

That absolutely doesn't happen. I've beaten alpha protocol 6 times

I learned how to use cheat engine to get past the part as quickly as possible so... Yeah. It happened. Soz.

In Training posted:Oh wait. It's in Russia, never mind. Pistols are OP for sure but it's beatable with anything. I would kill someone for alpha protocol 2 but with like, the COD gun designers of hell even the battlefield ones

It was more about me staying alive without having to worry about regenerating my health and cover and poo poo just because I couldn't be bothered and the nature of the mission was annoying enough that the first time I died or whatever I just said gently caress it and made sure I could do it as fast as possible. Some reason I do remember the mission target dying so I dunno maybe it didn't happen, but that mission is definitely real because I was enjoying the game mostly, until then.

I replayed the game a few years after 100% in a deranged fervor and it does generally control like dogshit, which is a shame. Because ghosting some missions with invisible hacking and crap is fun and the story is awesome and reactive, but actually playing the game can kinda be a chore

IIRC I might have died regardless of the cheat because the value would have time to change briefly and then go back to the state I locked it at so I think there might of been some attack that took off enough HP to put it to 0 long enough to actually kill me. Or something like that. It happened when the game came out and even though I remember it fairly fondly I haven't played it since. I did try a couple years ago but the copy didn't want to work so I gave up.

I might try Ys III SNES this weekend andplay it for a bit before trying out the cheat stuff, inspired by Jeff's tutelage

I've mostly just been content to hear how much other people's gameplays of it differed from mine because actually playing it kind of blows in a depressing way. Big ups to the textures of the handprints on glass surfaces in that game that are as big as the protagonist model.

I hate being this guy and it makes me mad that it bothers me but watching Jeff try to play shooters on the computer with his sensitivity so high that if he moves his body enough to look at the camera he does a 180 in the game... Good God! Then he just dies over and over again... Tragic, really... in this gamer's opinion.

I forget, is Neotokyo, the HL2 mod thing that's like a unlicensed anime based counter strike-like, is that one based on Ghost in the Shell also. It's sort of cool but long past dead at this point most likely since it was barely alive when it came out.
