Turns out there is a glitch where enemy Reaper footsteps, regardless of what perk they have in slot 3, cannot be heard by players running Dead Silence and/or Awareness.

Yep, had to hard reboot my PS4 to fix it. Ace had another good video on autoaim. So the Thermal sight kills all aim assist, and I was finding it considerably easier to snipe with the Drakon when I had a Thermal vs any other sight (the Drakon/P06 have aim assist, the other snipers don't). Apparently I like sniping more with no aa? I certainly had no issues with the Locus. Anyway, not for sniping, but I wonder if I should take a look at the BRM/Dingo again with a Thermal. One of the reasons I found them loving infuriating to use was that in situations where I would trust an LMG to be amazing (mid-long range, multiple targets near each other), instead I'd get a bunch of hitmarkers on multiple targets as aa pulled my reticle all over the loving place. I'll give that a shot on the Gorgon/Dredge at some point. Another point is if you don't move (strafe), your cursor won't get auto pulled, but standing still during most gunfights just... isn't really a thing I do, so I'd have a hard time using that ever.

By my third game running a P-06 with Thermal tonight I had like half the enemy team using Cold Blooded. Fortunately you just gotta shoot anything that moves at that point. And, yeah, I made a pistol/perks class and it's great to just pick up someone else's gun and kill them with it.

Something i thought of after completing the loving thing: camp a point in dom, when a couple of people appear, glitch in place and then murderize them. The jumping over and glitching works well as they try to follow your trajectory and then you can shoot them in the back, which is a manly thing.

Doesn't sound as fun as "core solo dom with no friends" night wherein I die on B a lot, rejack in the middle of 4 enemy pubs surrounding me like the 4 points on a compass and crying into my bourbon as my team flips the spawns for the 13th time in the game because why the gently caress not? Last night I decided to just play Hunted via repeatedly capping A and C (who's the spawn flipping rear end in a top hat now???) by running through that tunnel back and forth without doing anything else and it was great because I didn't have to watch the mongoloid bullshit happening at B/in the building at B/in that snipey little building near B. That route is hilariously isolated until the enemy figure out I am constantly running through it. Props to one guy who spent a whole round submerged in there and leaping out to kill people going over the bridge like some kind of militant river troll. You need to start with the building where there will always be one person waiting to shoot the dummies who charge at A from C. Through the tunnel, enter the building, Rip And Tear, jump out of the window and mow down the snipers/LMG nerds hiding behind the barrels/that big rock. Also the key to taking A is "don't hide behind that little rock, everyone shoots at that blindly as they run to defend." Crouch and watch for the flank/watch the stairs. Someone will double jump in and shoot at the rock and by the time they realise you're at the other end of the circle blam. Hunted is my favourite map, even though I play it with a gripless SMG of some kind.

Just to demonstrate a sample of what I was excessively bitching about last night: http://xboxdvr.com/gamer/ASaggyClothCat/video/13430927 Right at the start, when edging out from behind the bus, notice how it skips like there's a lag between frames? That's not the video, that's what was happening to me in game last night constantly. Often a lot worse too, like a really bad stutter, or missing half a seconds worth of frames so people just appear from around corners, or teleport 3 feet to the side as I'm shooting them. Even more frustrating when my alleged in-game ping is 80-90ms  I'm used to people lagging since the days of CoD4, but this feels different, like the entire game is performing badly.
