News. I guess they had to outbalance the good luck of Gustin and Benoist.

Just two nights ago I was talking with someone about "whatever happened to..." people from Glee, particularly Santana and Puck. I guess half of that is answered now.

HorseRenoir posted:I might get burned at the stake for this, but I enjoyed Furious 7 more than Fury Road So this might be a case where my movie-going experience affected my opinion of the movie unfairly, because I saw F7 at a normal theater instead of the 21+ booze and dinner theater I normally go to. Of course there was some loving kid kicking my seat and yelling throughout half the movie so I had a lovely time and thought the movie was lovely too. Are there really people that didn't think F7 was a pandering, lovely, piece of poo poo? With all the trailers I'm seeing for the new Point Break remake I've just realized that The Fast And The Furious is basically the same story except with cars. No idea how I didn't catch onto that when I first saw it except that I was 18 and just enjoyed the spectacle.

I love the handful of moments throughout the run of the show where something absolutely loving horrific happens and they don't acknowledge it as being above the norm at all. Like in season 2 when (don't read this if you're not past that yet Fooz) a scene opens on Mark cutting Sophie's name into his arm.

Glee was trash-rear end but I cannot wait for all the tell-alls we're certain to get. I'd be surprised if we only get Naya Rivera's. (Lea Michele seems like she's the only Glee alum who gives even half a poo poo about Ryan Murphy. Maybe also Darren Criss if he joins American Horror Story: Dark Haired Men Army at some point.)

This was a few pages back, but I ended up getting my dad Strike Back Season 1 on Blu-Ray, and he LOVES it. Absolutely crazy about it, a few episodes in. It helps that the two guys went on to star in Blindspot and The Player, and he likes both of those shows. And he's describing Strike Back as a cross between 24 and Phoenix Force (this huge series of novels he loved in the '80s and '90s), so it was a great gift for him. I'll end up getting him the rest of the seasons for sure, and maybe now I'll try Season 1 myself, since it's on Amazon Prime.

The original British version of Strike Back is super boring but it stars Rick from The Walking Dead and Richard Armitage from The Hobbit. The soldiers are more likely to cry about the effects of warfare on their psyche rather than blowing poo poo up. Could be worth a watch. In the US it's called Strike Back: Origins.

My list is full of trashy shows because I didn't watch a bunch of good dramas like most TVIV people. But I'm pretty happy with my list over-all. I wrote mostly positives about each thing, so if I need to go back and be more critical to make the reasons for the rankings clear, I guess I can do that...
