Specifically, what happened was that one of the people I killed the first Martial Arts guy in front of was in the Occult club, so I was barred from joining, and instead I went on a bloody rampage inside that club killing everyone but the leader, and then killing the leader.

which, honestly, is a good call, because blazblue's plot suffered from having to shoehorn in fights. might as well just do what you clearly want to do and make it a visual novel.

fights in arcsys story modes suck anyway, cause they're always on the easiest difficulty and only one rounders, they might as well not even happen

Yandere Sim is pretty neat, and it's cool to see how far he's gotten with it, but I'm waiting for him to add that "SNAP" option that's on the game over sim.

the story in the persona 4 arena games is just an excuse for them to make persona VNs, but they have to at least partially be about fighting tournaments or else there would be no reason to punch people most of the time

Anime chat thread, I want to buy Guilty Gear Xrd as a secret santa gift for a friend that likes fighting games, but only plays a couple of games right now. A friend of that friend told me they wanted either a PSN points card or a 20 foot USB cable. Do I get the game I think they'll really like, but that they could end up not touching ever, or the kind of bland thing they're guaranteed to like?

even if the story doesn't really matter in a fighting game, it still makes the game more interesting and appealing if you give your characters personalities and motivations.

Then the sequel comes around and now they combine all the endings somehow. Well that's how it was with Street Fighter anyways. SNK and ArcSys have the bigger over-encompassing arcs in their games.
