Enough of this Muir crap, he can't hurt us with his word salad and porn tracings any more. Just noticed a new Cagle with a rather amazing label. I'm just glad "scofflaw" is being used again. Perhaps he just loves death (by wildfire)!

There are two creation stories in Genesis. The first one shows God creating all humanity at once, the second shows Adam being made from dust and Eve from his rib. They don't really gel together and contradict each other in several places. A sensible way to read this is that the compilers of the Torah didn't have an opinion on whether they were "literally" true, but thought they were both important theological statements and should be included. People who call themselves "literalists" will insist that they're somehow both true and historically accurate. Edit: I don't agree with Muir being banned, but eight pages of people arguing about whether he should have been banned is worse than any decision that could have been made. There, I've said my piece, and now I'm moving on. Jurgan fucked around with this message at 05:58 on Jan 2, 2016 |

I believe that the vegan comix technically count as published, just published in their own series of book. Seriously though I don't intend to post them daily anyway. I intend to let them build up and pick up some stupid ones that I think the thread'll find funny/ridiculous. If the mods genuinely want me to stop, I'll stop. I just wanted to provide something instead of just always being on the sidelines and watching.

Jonas Albrecht posted:Are there any good conservative cartoonists that actually call the GOP out on their bullshit? He called out the GOP in waterboarding in Prickly City in the middle of the Bush administration, which already makes him better than the jackasses who retroactively deem Bush as bad. He also changed his mind on gay marriage, and he's has done cartoons in which he wrestles with the guilt of supporting the Iraq invasion. Keep in mind he's still a conservative, so despite Bush getting so much wrong he still fawns over neoconservatives and Obama Bad.
