I think if you give Butterscotch to someone else and tell them that he needs to be on a diet, he'll never lose all that extra weight. I don't want Butterscotch to be unhealthy and sad

Eh. When we first started fostering litters we always felt that way, but honestly it's probably best in most cases if they get split up. Finn is a really dominant spitfire and he kinda commands a lot of attention. If Rey were on her own she'd open up a lot more. It's happened before when we've been able to return one kitten out of a litter and suddenly the others start shining. They'd honestly be fine either way, they're not that bonded. For the most part Finn just chases Rey around a lot.

Fat Blue Wren: Blue wrens have both adorable and hilarious sex lives: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Superb_fairywren#Courtship posted:During the reproductive season, males of this and other fairywren species pluck yellow petals, which contrast with their plumage, and show them to female fairywrens. The petals often form part of a courtship display and are presented to a female in the male fairywren's own or another territory. Males sometimes show petals to females in other territories even outside the breeding season, presumably to promote themselves.[62] Fairywrens are socially monogamous and sexually promiscuous: pairs will bond for life,[63] though both males and females will regularly mate with other individuals; a proportion of young will have been fathered by males from outside the group. Young are often raised not by the pair alone, but with other males who also mated with the pair's female assisting.[64] What they mean by "promiscuous" is this: the male does a big song and dance routine every morning and evening at the periphery of the territory. Both males and females take this as an opportunity to sneak off and have a quickie with adjacent lonely wrens. In every other way they are the epitome of a stable birdy home, with the previous year's clutch often helping out with raising this year's chicks.
