You guys still owe me two Sub-Par Previews. I'm not delaying the start of the season any further, so, if you want to know about these Sub-Par League teams and their surely astounding collections of talent, you should probably get them done relatively soon. Or, alternatively, you could use this preview I made with my expert analysis: Monster's Ball Alekhtar Shardblades: There is no loving way this team is going to last a single season. Wait, it already did? How the gently caress did that happen? Also, what the gently caress is a Shardblade. I feel like I'm owed answers to both of these pressing questions. They do have good contact hitters, which makes me think this stadium is either going to work well or not at all, and its geometry is too odd to make any quick conclusions. Seriously, though, the gently caress is a Shardblade? Seems like it would be less effective than a non-shard blade. Upstate Highlanders: At first, I thought this team was Scottish or something, which was cool. And then I found out that they're from upstate South Carolina. I don't really know what the gently caress 'upstate' means in the context of South Carolina. In the end, it doesn't loving matter, because it's South Carolina, which varies from 'backwards' to 'trying to secede from the Union to protect our ability to own other human beings was kickin' rad. But wait, the War of Northern Aggression wasn't about slavery, dagnabit, it was about states' rights against the inexorable growth of federal power...to stop people from owning other human beings.' In any event, this team is mildly promising in theory, but needs more bats and arms. Commonwealth Flying Dukaki: This team, while have a lot of parts that seem to should be able to work well, feels like one that is going to explode in fiery fashion, leaving naught behind but burnt wreckage and despair. Truly, a more fitting tribute to Michael Dukakis could not have been constructed. Well, I mean, I guess you could be using Willie Horton on the team, but that's a nitpick. Columbus Natural 20s: A true tribute the perils of min-maxing, in that if no one gets injured, they might just survive, possibly. But if they do take injuries, they're so incredibly hosed that it's not funny. Okay, it's a little funny. Plus, the dude has an 8-bit Theatre avatar, and that brings back warm, nostalgic memories of a time when I was still capable of finding joy in sprite comics. Or anything else. CSKA Llama: This team should win the division. I mean, holy gently caress, it's got more dinger power than the rest of the division combined, and has the only pitching staff that doesn't make me either cringe when I look at it or consider limitations on the use of generic deadballers. I know that there's a good chance that, just like in real life, communism will fail, and capitalists everywhere will take that to mean that their exploitation of the working classes is thereby justified as the only viable economic model, but I want to believe in the power of socialism to end the final class struggle and conclude history. Feast or Fired Division Florida Oranges: I trusted you to kill the Jobbers, and you failed me. Now face the consequences of that failure! Still, the Oranges should have the firepower to win promotion, assuming that oldskool does not find a new and exciting way to gently caress it up. He's no longer starting Kid Eberfield, so that is a good sign that maybe he'll be able to pull this off. Hill City Dinos: At least the Dinosaurs had the decency to die with a little dignity! Well, I suppose that, technically speaking, most of them died due to reduced vegetation in the wake of the meteor impact destroying the food chain, but the shorthand for that is them dying in a meteor strike, and that's a metal way to die. And metal ways to die are dying with dignity, whether it be being crushed by a meteor or jumping your motorcycle in a canyon while playing electric guitar. Don't look at me like that, you can pull your amp into the motorcycle somehow, I'm sure. Anyway, this team is platooning Babe Ruth, either to give the other teams in its division a sporting chance, or because forzelt's next level calculus is simply beyond us non-statisticians. yankeesfan.gif: This team is based in Philly, so I have to ask: WHAT THE gently caress IS GOING ON HERE? I mean, what the gently caress? Anyway, this team is using basically exclusively modern players, which has been risky in the past, but I don't think is necessarily doomed to failure. On the other hand, these might not be the right modern players, in that I'm not sure that I have a ton of faith in either Whiteyball or Moneyball. Or, really, any strategy that ends in 'ball'. Rochester Generics: Actually, this is a fine team assuming that kw0134 doesn't get bitten in the rear end by starting a 40 year-old shortstop. Which seems inevitable. But, hey, it's worth a shot, and kw0134's teams have historically been very, very hard to kill. They also have never been that successful. It's kind of like choosing between living for 100 years as a clerk or 35 years as a rock star. And, let's be honest, most of you would pick to be the clerk. Pope's Chosen: Listen, if you're from the boonies or really like sightseeing, I can almost see the appeal of New York City. I mean, it's got a lot of stuff in it, and that's great. But I feel like I'd go there, and everyone would think I'm some sort of rube because I'm not from New York City, and because I use the word 'rube', and I'd try their pizza and be confused at why it's so floppy, and then someone would tell me to wait 'on-line', and I'd loving lose my poo poo, because you don't wait 'on-line', you wait 'in line'. Oh, right, this team. It uses a lot of players from the 2015 Mets. Given the chance, I would see it broken before me. Sadly for both me and ZenVulgarity, I'm not going to get that chance.

Hi! It has been brought to my attention that the Super Draft contains one (1) Kevin Brown, and I think he's old enough not to be the Rangers iteration that I don't particularly want. Meanwhile, my normally good Roy Halladay inexplicably rolled 86/90 and I plan to stash him in the minors all year barring disaster. If any Super League (or subpar, I guess, but you should be using your picks for guys who'll help you survive the season) owner wants to trade their pick, provided Brown is on the board, for Halladay, I'd be down with that.

Maybe try Trammell at third.        Analysis I feel like this has all happened before. Eh, it's probably nothing.        Analysis That bullpen is scary, but you probably need a couple more good players to challenge for this division.        Analysis I can't decide whether this team will repeat last season's aborted greatness, or crash to a 100-loss season. Either is possible!        Analysis This division is yours to lose, so, uh, don't.        Analysis Just try not to take too much inspiration from Cory Lidle.
