Dungeon world stuff for January. We don't have a time that works for everyone so far; if enough people sign up we can do multiple games at a time frame that works! If people want to play in more than 1 game I'd be down for that too

I'm quoting this post.

I'm seeing you coming to an understanding about yourself that allows you to move forward in a way that you've felt cut off from doing to this point. I wish I could be more specific but it feels like you're especially closed off about this even to yourself if that makes any sense. Whatever the case, have faith

I laughed, the sense I'm getting is that you're going to be just generally super nice because of someone's influence

You're going to get an opportunity to slow yourself down in a positive sense. I get the feeling you won't be sure if it's a style or speed you should embrace but it's not the kind you need to worry about so enjoy it

A not-too-serious sickness you'll suffer having major repercussions, both positive and negative? Odd, I don't understand this.

You're going to get an apology that you weren't expecting and aren't quite ready to hear. I get the feeling that you'll accept for the sake of propriety but I can't tell if you mean it. Open your heart, it's genuine.

I feel like you're headed toward a drastic shift in your life, be it personal or professional. I get the sense that you're in control of it, rather than beaten about by it, and that it's a well-planned move that works out for you in the short run at the very least. I think you're driven toward this by someone close to you, though they don't seem to fit the family/friend mold. Boss? Acquaintance? Rival?

Last Word

I can say it would’ve been the last word
to spring to my mind had I not just heard,
it lash out just now like a cobra strike.
Just it existing I sure didn’t like.
But there it swayed in the air between us,
like an old man shaking ‘round his penis.
A flash of disgust, an unfair mem’ry,
took my good will and scuffed it with emery.
Would I speak my piece? No, I’m seeing red.
Right now I think I’ll spit my war instead.
I fire back with extreme prejudice,
on their heart, I place special emphasis.
Roast their very being in effigy
for ut’ring that loving obscenity.
I continue my assault as they shrink,
I push past their “I-I-I didn’t think…”
Burn all bridges, the hell with cautiousness
Too busy teaching AP Consequence
The look on their face matches the feeling
in me; loosing this pain has me healing
you see; I feel better when I do this.
If I didn’t throw down I’d be remiss.
The last word is mine, so I make it sting,
And now all dies are cast, let’s do this thing.

also haven't seen Godfather, District 9, Home Alone, Rain Man, Ghost, The Notebook, No Country for Old Men & There Will Be Blood (I thought those two were the same movie for a while), Slumdog Millionaire, Braveheart, Good Burger (lookin' at u bk), or any Wes Anderson movie that wasn't Moonrise Kingdom which was a lot of fun.

e: I have seen all three of those in your second sentence.

Ok, well you should at least watch Home Alone out of all those movies. The rest can pretty much be forgiven.

edit - Well not really forgiven, you should still watch them, but the only two comedies on the list are Home Alone and Good Burger and Good Burger isn't really a 'quality' movie. Funny and good, but not exactly high cinema.

How about The Lost Boys? Beverly Hills Cop? Vacation (1983)? Weird Science? Dirty Dancing? Fast Times at Ridgemont High? Say Anything?

Ok, I can understand not seeing the traditional guy/boy films like Beverly Hills Cop or Weird Science, but how have you, as a woman, not seen Say Anything? I thought that was like required watching. At least you've seen Dirty Dancing for that kind of thing.

edit - Although I guess Say Anything is framed from a man's point of view, so I guess but it still seems weird.

I'm with Ecco. Giving up 2 hours~ of my life is a huge time commitment and one I'm only willing to make if I'm hype for the movie or if it seems like an interesting premise. Hence I don't watch many movies as a result.

TV's a better storytelling medium anyway.

Haha, I'm just having a bit of fun. I don't really hold the fact that you haven't seen those movies against you. Besides, I think you're younger anyway (late 20s?, I honestly don't know), so it's to be expected that you wouldn't be interested in a lot of them. I was born in 73, but I don't really like to watch movies from the 70s.

Also, I'm a movie person so I can sit and watch pretty much any movie.

I've seen such classics as Attack of the Killer Tomatoes, Surf Nazis Must Die, The Toxic Avenger, Class of Nuke Em High, and other wonderfully bad films.

About the slowest thing I can watch without being an active participant in is probably baseball.

And I really, really like baseball.

I just think that some people are more inclined to not sit still for a few hours. It is why I hate office work and prefer the field.
