yeah it's a good explanation, and I know there are all kinds of reasons to watch speedruns.

for me the runs I like are fairly fast paced, high execution, demanding and repetitive, or whatever, where it's more like a fighting game maybe. so I don't really get 'tired' of games like super metroid and sm64 for the same reason I didn't get tired of watching brood war for 10 years

And the mercy seat is awaiting,
And I think my head is burning,
And in a way I'm yearning,
To be done with all this measuring of proof.
An eye for an eye
And a tooth for a tooth,
And anyway I told the truth,
And I'm not afraid to die.

If Edobean was still reading, she'd have said it very enthusiastically, too. Not that SpikeVegeta wasn't similarly upbeat during his reading.

I never got why people are complaining about people sharing their own experiences dealing with cancer with these donations. I think it's nice that people are willing to open up and point out why it's a really important cause, and feels more genuine than the "yeah my cousin did mission work one time five years ago" comments that the MSF donations tend to get for SGDQ.

I don't think it's inherently bad but there's definitely a dissonance when someone's talking about how all their family died and you have mario going YAHOO in the back

it feels...disrespectful? Not that the donater can help it but that's the vibe
