I'm not sure if offering $800 will get taken seriously. Bikes are priced high around Denver area, though I don't know what they actually sell for. A buddy may sell me his 93 DR350 though.

Took it to a custom shop and said "I want to make my bike look TERRIBLE." What dealer in their right mind would buy that off of someone?

Bought a Kawasaki Zx6rr from Craigslist for $3Grand after getting a new job.. I'm located in the Minneapolis metropolitan region. My last name is Kariniemi so it is kind of cool to drive a Kawasaki! When my dad got a new job he bought a new garbage disposal.

The guy's really making a big deal out of the bike only having 1600 miles. I'm sure there are zillions of H-Ds of a similar age with similar mileage.

The majority of people I meet who talk about bikes are obsessed with mileage to unhealthy levels. Quite a lot of people would pay thousands of dollars for a kz440 found at the bottom of a lake if it only had 2 miles on it. TWO MILES DUDE DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND IT ONLY EVER RODE TWO MILES. ORIGINAL MILES NO ODOMETER REPLACEMENT DUDE IT'S LITERALLY FRESH OUT OF THE FACTORY NEVER SOLD. My experience suggests to me that mileage means virtually nothing at all in bikes. You wanna know it was taken care of and ridden, and is still currently being taken care of and ridden. Unless you're looking for a piece of poo poo to hang on your wall and stare at and nothing else. Maybe everyone who's into bikes is looking for that.

Yeah, I had to do more things to my low mile Uly in the first 3 months of owning it than I did to my high mile one in a year. It was a sitter and there was a lot of cracked rubber. Think of the factory recalls that haven't been done!

I'd be lying if I said I didn't consider this f4i for a minute https://washingtondc.craigslist.org/nva/mcy/5409381489.html turn it into a track bike, yardsale it down shenny, then turn the resulting mess into a stuntbike

Could probably snag a cheap ex-trackbike for around the same price with a pile of dollars in nice track-specific upgrades. Street legal at that point is just a taillight and some stick on headlights.

I'd slice someone for a track bike that cheap around here, they're pretty pricy in the dmv. E: of course now that I've said that, I find a 1st gen sv650 wera bike for $1700.

A shorty exhaust is common for those, and it hides almost entirely in the bottom of the fairings. Maybe that?

Would that be more or less reliable than the 50cc 2smoke? Aren't the crf250r motors pretty high strung and have service intervals in numbers of hours?* *Not saying that the stock motor doesn't.

Assuming the same condition for both motors, the 250R motor would live longer. It takes a lot to blow up a properly maintained 250 4t.
