Just to actually get back on the Lego set for a moment, though, the detail on the minifigures actually looks pretty interesting and more ornate that I normally see on these things (judging by the box photos): Wonder Woman has brown hair instead of the traditional black that most of her Lego minifigs have and it looks like darker colors on the costume. They manage to capture the trailer's movie Luthor look pretty well. Superman's hair is 100% movie accurate. Also, why is Lois using a camera? Is Jimmy dead?! Cool. Much better mix of the themes and action than the Doomsday trailer. Also, Gal Gadot's one line reading surprised me. She was fine but flat in the Fast movies, but she looked like she was having fun there.

Like they're selling Batman but so far almost every single piece of footage is Batman getting his poo poo pushed in or looking like an rear end in a top hat. The climax of the trailer is Batman briefly blocking Superman's fist! (among shots of Superman sending him flying multiple times.) They might be going for the Underdog thing which would work if there was even a 1% chance that Superman wasn't going to be a heroic figure who Batman eventually allies with.

I think the most likely way is that Lex supplies Batman with it somehow after discovering its powers by experimenting on it with Zod's corpse. Why Batman would accept it, I don't know, but at that point I'm sure he's looking for any edge he can get on Superman, so even "teaming up" with Lex is acceptable.
