You must defeat Sheng Long to stand a chance.

It would be cool if one of these guys, on a dare or something, tried doing a full-length episode straight through with no cuts, playing all the voices. 22 minutes of one guy talking to himself, pitching his voice differently every few sentences. Like a Fry-Farnsworth-Zoidberg episode with a bunch of random side characters all voiced by Billy West, and then let me watch the video of the recording session.

It's not exactly what you want, but I believe that a bunch of voice actors (including Billy West possibly and definitely Joe Dimaggio) read out the entirely of the Star Wars A New Hope script at a convention once, using their characters' voices. And it was filmed.

I think that was actually Billy West. He also voiced that one space amoeba thing that sounds like it has two voices. He did it in one take with no effects. There's a video where he talks about doing his popeye voice. It has two different components to it at the same time.

Zoidberg also has two components at once, some oldtimey comedians or some such. He talks about fusing them here..

Zoidberg is the merger of two different inspirations, but one voice. The space amoeba thing he's talking about is actually two completely separate tones coming out of the same mouth simultaneously, much like Tuvan throat singing, except with spoken words.

Incidentally, the Tuvan throat singing that the Martians do in Where the Buggalo Roam is also Billy West.

I'm not sure if it was the first time he learned to do it, but it's how he figured out how to do Popeye.

My other favorite character is Morbo. How did you come up with that booming voice for him?

Morbo was originally played by Billy West, doing his McLaughlin Group impression. They came in and asked me if I could do something like Lrrr, and I did. They pitched it and effected it and dropped it lower, and when I came in, I just imitated what they did with pitching and effecting. Now they don't have to pitch and effect Morbo.

I've seen this, it starts off cool but the audience reaction of cheering on every new cartoon voice gets old real fast.

Benjamin is actually a solid voice actor with plenty of range. It's just half the time people ask him to use his natural voice, which is incredibly distinctive. You knew he was was Coach McGuirk, but did you know he was also Jason and a bunch of other random Home Movies characters? You know he's Bob on Bob's Burgers, but did you know that he's also Jimmy Jr. and more random side characters? I just learned he played the mango in the Bible Fruit episode of Aqua Teen. I bet if you went down his IMDB page you'd find plenty of roles where he's basically unrecognizable.

I'm thinking maybe you need to take off your rose colored glasses because the voice work in Venture Bros is by no means perfect and one of the biggest issues is just how few actors they really have. Sure they have lots of great guest stars and Doc, Public, and Urbaniak are really good at disguising their voices, but there are still plenty of times where the same voices are coming out of different mouths. For instance the pirate captain sounds just like Watch from the guild doing a pirate voice and neither is all that far from Torrid who kinda sounds like a deeper, Australian version of the Tim-Tom the moppet. Dermot sounds like Dr. Girlfriend with less phlegm in his throat. David Bowie (RIP) and Phantom Limb sound quite similar. Monstroso sounds just like Truckules. And so on. It took me a few viewings to train my ear to it, but once you learn each actors' particular cadences you'll start really noticing just how many characters they're doing and it's especially noticeable when the actors are talking to themselves, like when Sgr. Hatred and Hank are having a conversation.

Also the Futurama voice cast was a national treasure. Show some respect!

Yep, when you listen to a show you tend to recognize who is doing which voice. Amazing, right?! I'm aware of Jon H's work, but still, gently caress that guy. And yes, Jackson/Hammer have many characters that have essentially the same voice, I notice that too. You basically typed out what I've been hearing from the start as a viewer of VB. They're still more varied, interesting, and talented than other voice actors. I love Futurama, but the voices, meh....Ren and Stimpy voice palettes all day long.

I like that there are a limited number of voice actors on VB is an issue, keeps it beautiful. Just like their scripts, limited writers. (Is it not just the two of them writing? Correct this if wrong). The show is perfect. Aziz and Benjamin were their only foul-ups. I'll keep on my glasses, they're blue though.

I believe that's supposed to be 2112 on the right. (Yes, the actual 2112 cover has a red pentagram, but they've also got Dark Side of the Moon with a four-sided prism on the left. Probably for legal reasons.)

Also, during one of the attempts to enter Doc's mind in "Assisted Suicide", Brock points out that the Rush tape in the box of "what Doc loves most" won't work because it's a greatest-hits collection.
