Cialis Railman posted:You're not the only one who doesn't like the skatepark. Something about it is visually confusing to me, plus you can't squid up the goddamn ramps without jumping. Skatepark Splatzones is my big favorite. I love being able to chuck a grenade really early on the opening break (with grenade distance up) into the enemy splatzone, then shoot some sloshing machine blasts quick to contest their zone. Being able to actually hide from snipers is also nice.

Nthing Skatepark as a favorite in zones and tower control. especially on splat zones, keep control of that stub wall on the left as you look toward enemy spawn from the tower. Hold that corner, hold the map.

Blackbelly Skatepark is my 2nd favorite map. That big tower in the center? That's a trap for novice chargers. The ledges near the halfpipe are where it's at. Speaking of that tower, if you weren't aware already, you can send seekers up it.

Skatepark is a solid map for inkbrushes, good cover from snipers and you can run behind a lot of stuff in a pinch. Also god drat burst bombs on an inkbrush would be nice.

My only grips with Skatepark is that you can't swim up the halfpipe ledges. Arowana mall has that same thing too where it seems like you could technically swim up the ramp but it doesn't let you.

Ah, so that's the Luna Blaster hack I've been hearing about. I see Nintendo still doesn't believe in client sanity checks.

Did they just rework Kelp Dome in the last few days? I tried to run to the center via my normal route in rainmaker and there's an obstacle in the walkway.

Cool that they included the fan-elevators from the single player. Gonna make a lot of people mad when the ground suddenly starts moving. Wonder why they didn't incorporate other single-player mechanics into multiplayer. Like rotating surfaces (unless you count the conveyor belts on Piranha) and the sponges?
|
# ? Jan 12, 2016 22:58 |
|
The sponges wouldn't really work with competing ink colours in play, at least not the same way they worked in single player.
|
# ? Jan 12, 2016 23:19 |

They'd just have to work the same way as the rainmaker shield.

Didn't sponges shrink when an enemy hit them with their opposing ink? I dare say you could do something with that in multiplayer.

They'd be too chaotic to ever be really viable in multiplayer. There's not enough difference in the sponge sizes to really make using them worth considering using mid-fight.
