I guess I'm the odd-man-out, then. I find that adorable, I love chihuahuas. And yes, aggressive behavior is aggressive behavior, but size still matters. There's a difference between getting punched by a tiny weak old man and getting knocked the gently caress out by a heavyweight champion. Bigger dogs can do more damage and that's why their behavior has to be more tightly reigned in. This dog was not able to bite through my denim blue jeans, as much as he really wanted to, and so even though it was bad behavior it was still adorable bad behavior and deserved a scolding and not a lawsuit. Come on, guys. Edit: Instead of bad dog talk, how about more good dog talk? I recently made a big ol' pot of chili, and had a bunch of fatty trims of beef left over, so I fried them up and gave them to the dogs. Taz, our Schnauzer, is a big ol' goof but he's still civilized enough to eat off of a fork. And yes, the two chihuahuas in the background got their fair share of meat too. I always feel bad for aggressive small dogs. They've got the latent instincts of a wolf, but your average housecat outweighs them. How is that not a recipe for mental illness? Especially when the owners think all the aggression is "cute". "Fifi barking at the mailman as a puppy? That's hilarious! Git'em Fifi! Yes, lets backyard breed Fifi and Hercules, they've both got so much attitude and purebred chihuahua puppies are worth money! " Poor toy dogs

Yay! My dog got chosen for that well-paying advertisement thinger I mentioned earlier in the thread. I went poking around the client's website to check out their recent projects and they had one featuring a dog that looks super similar to mine being patted and loved on to advertise a food. Now... panic sets in. Or mild apprehension at least. My dog is sort of hands-off. She's not dangerous or anything remotely like that, but she won't deign to have anyone touch her when she's "working" and she tends to just politely shift slightly outside of reach if you try to pat her. She rarely looks happy about it either. Ah well. We'll see how it goes. Is there a commercial/acting thread on SA? I had a look around but couldn't find one.

It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single dogge in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a pette.

Poor thing, we ended up paying someone else about 250 bucks to clean it The day we brought her home And three years later, she has vitiligo and is the goofiest doofus dog who is now just terrified of other humans beside us and the very few others she trusts. I'm not sure what happened to her before we adopted her but I'm guessing it wasn't very nice. Posing Got sick of that and wants me to play

First day of rescue is always a doozie and leads to stories to be told for years Was terrified to be out of his element the first day. I got him from a loving family that had to get rid of him so not exactly shelter life. He didn't understand that our home was our home yet of course. So he kept running into his crate when he felt lost or confused. So I spent the first day laying on the ground outside in front of his crate trying to earn his trust with treats. He got attacked his first and only time by a pit bull. First beach day! Thankfully he warmed up to me really fast and was barking at every mailman or suspicious anyone that approached our little complex like he'd been here forever standing his watch. I feel like this is a thing, correct me if I'm wrong fellow dog owners. But I feel like there's a very distinct point in which a dog sort of trusts you and takes you on as his/her new "master" per-se. For me it was him coming and falling asleep curled up inbetween my legs with his head rested on my leg. I don't know if matted poo butt happened on the first day but definitely within the first week.
