Anything more than a sentence or two and it'll be perceived as an evasion, not an explanation. That and blunt off the inevitable Trump attack on why he is a taking a million dollars from too big to fail bailed out bank that his wife works for under any circumstance and why he failed to report it. The biggest problem is not what he did, honestly what he did was completely reasonable for someone of his wealth, the problem is that it looks weasely and slimy and Cruz already looks like you need to wash your hands after touching him.

I can answer that one easily. He'll slam garbage hand after garbage hand hard and possibly all in, based on the fact that you don't play the hand, you play the person! And the other person is a limp-wristed weakling who won't call the Donald down! This will work exactly until someone gets a dominant hand on him and takes all his money, making him look like a clown. And then he'll just buy another stack and keep going.

Endorsements are following winners, winning doesn't come from endorsements, just ask JEB. 8 months ago he had endorsements lined up from politicians who, like most of us, assumed JEB had it in the bag and they just wanted to be early to chalk up a favor if JEB won the presidency. A sitting governor endorsement means the GOP has finally read the writing on the wall that most of us saw back in August. If Brandstand is his first major endorsement, you'll see a bunch of Johnny come latelys hopping on the trump express shortly after.

If Trump gets a REAL endorsement from Branstad that could help close that ground game gap he has on Cruz. Very big if True... But it's probably not.
