<click> <click> What is it with this dancing?! Bouncing around like fools... I would have thought my own kind at least would understand the seriousness of our Adventurer's Guild!

I had a solid win-streak today on Team Future. I stayed with that team and we only lost once, and it was on a Future v. Future match. Using the Hydra Splatling is hard but very rewarding when I can pull off a quick charge to splat someone about to reach me.

That elephant ate my entire platoon.
I think my win/loss was about 13-3 when I successfully used at least one echolocator. Thing's basically a win button in Splatfest.

Smooth.
This is the first Splatfest where all of my team Past team mates and I dominated in at least 80% of the matches I was in. I once held the bottom step in Hammerhead at enemy spawn for a full minute and a half, racking up seventeen kills on rollers who just kept coming straight down. Sloshing Machine, you're my favorite.

Playing in the morning is quite a different experience.

The enemy past team just kept pushing forward, never even inked their side of the bridge. Ink the turf?

The new hydra splatling's alright. I think I prefer the old one, mostly because I like echolocator better than bubbler, though bubbler's pretty nice. I think the sub weapon's better on the old one, too. Sprinklers just cost too much ink to use.

I've been doing pretty good with the nozzlenoses today. When paired with those boots I rolled three run speed ups on, I basically fly around the map, shooting ink. I knew they were good for something. :v:

Splatoon: Good Game or Crippling Loss

If you're team future, you may as well just sit at spawn and wait for the match to be over.

I've enjoyed some better match making today over las night. Team the Future is only Rollers won a couple matches in a row and I ended tonight with a +12.5

But man when you lose you lose loving hard. Just spamming booyah while spawn camped

I made future king at 20.5 heat, just take a break and you'll probably wind up with a decent team.

I just played against a team past where the highest level was 7.

The poor charger was aiming straight at the ground for some reason.

Yeah, it takes some people a while to realize you can reset the camera, I've shot a lot of dads who were looking straight down.

I'm glad that the splatfests keep you with the same team if you replay. I wish the default behavior of the game was like that. Team Future has a lot of garbage players, but once you get a good team going, you can still steamroll victories like nobody's business.

How many splatfests have there been where the most popular vote is the one that won the most matches?

e: If there's a next time, I'll be voting on the side that's most likely to have players that will actually try to protect the landing area of other jumping players.

I very rarely super jump.

Meddle not in the affairs of dragons... for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup.
Just spent the afternoon maxing out my level on splatfest. It's pretty fun.

Got up to a 10-12 heat streak on team future, but then the other teams started getting better. Having the other team rush your spawn point and sit on it is immensely annoying. Especially if you're using an ink roller, bad at aiming, or both(that's why I mostly use rollers or the aerospray).

It's less annoying when you do it to them, though. Just drop a few ink mines at the end of the spawn point conveyor belt on piranha pit, and you'll get a few easy kills. :getin:

I've been pounding people on team future all day, with only a handful of losses. My last few wins were straight routs where we pushed people all the way back into their spawns. That used to make me feel bad, but now I figure that people would happily do that to me if I let them, so gently caress it. No mercy. Ended the night at past queen and 10+ heat. Made it to 47 too, only three more 'til I get my ugly hat!

I know it's impossible to predict a splatfest from the ground, but from where I'm sitting...team future has no future. :getin:

this ate me up so much so now i pretty much always play with stealth jump on. makes it a bit slower but the fury of landing and gettin imediately wrecked is something ill go out of my way to avoid

I find that super jumping outside of competitive and without stealth jump is a waste of time. If you're just playing turf war, it's better (and quicker to get points) to just swim up to where you want to go, inking new turf/over enemy turf along the way.

Plenty of bad players to go around on both sides. Learning a new weapon during these events can be a little irritating since you need to be on your A game to pick up the slack.

Jet Squelcher is a lot of fun, but I'm horrible at aiming it.

This. It was looking like one of those Splatfests that starts feeling like an interminable grind at the end, except I happened onto a team that slaughtered everything in its path. Like even good Past teams would end up with about 8%. I did well, actually played much better than usual, and they were still carrying me. God bless you, you death-dealing demigods.

Not only that but I disable a bunch of people with bubblers and steered them in to a teammate Inkstrike. It came to a point that I tried splatting people with only burst bombs, one match had 8/0.

That's mostly my job protect people that are super jumping or aiming a Inkstrike or Killer Wail in the middle of a fire fight. Also I have so much speed that its faster to swim out then to super jump. The only time I use it is to stomp a squid that got to our base, tower control or if a teammate is really push on the enemy side by them self.
