If you're playing with a DS4 use DS4Windows, also map the touchpad to 1-3.

Ugh, I managed to miss the Lost and Found quest by going down the Everfall. It's nice that you can basically go into new game plus at any time by choosing hard mode, so I haven't lost all my leveling progress and items, and it's pretty quick getting back to where I was. Also, can I request an invite to the goon group http://steamcommunity.com/id/terraerk Thanks!

Somehow when I played the heck out of this game on console I didn't realize that the place with the ogre and the zombies was the everfall, and realized it right away this time. I have no clue how I missed that detail, I thought it was kinda random that the everfall appeared where it did!

One problem I realized : mages are the only class capable of healing. Is it doable without too much of a headache to run without a dedicated healer? Spring waters were already mentioned, but if you mix large nuts with harspud juice/sauce you get balmy perfume/incense which are group healing items. If you load your pawns full of group healing items they'll use them automatically when the arisen's health goes critical. They're almost as good as wakestones as long as you don't get oneshot and keep the pawns with the group heals alive.

I think you can get away with having one piece of your equipment just be aesthetic - and anything at three stars is generally okay stat wise. I like seeing my characters hair so I generally will have a circlet or headband instead of a helmet, even if the stats are a little worse.

So I'm trying to decide between Ranger/Assassin routes, and while I really want to like the bow it's been really lackluster for me so far(as a Strider) compared to the daggers. What's are some good Strider bow skills to use? The only one I have so far that does any damage is the rain of arrows one. P.S. This game is great

For those of you who are playing KB+M, if you are grabbed you can press all the WASD buttons, not just AD like the UI says. I was never able to escape a grappel until I figured this out. (Guess who got eaten by the Hydra and had to watch as his pawns slowly got their rear end kicked.)

Probably old news by now but any new people reading this page: If you're gonna do the quest Lost and Found, firstly, you have to do it before you go do the Pawn Guild stuff in Gran Soren, and secondly, do it at night. Heading over to the Witchwood at night means you only need to fight fifty wolves or so, instead of super bandits.

BBI loot tipz: BBI items are determined when you open the chest they're in, but in the case of armour and weapons, the exact item is determined when you purify them. It is not random, but is based on your vocation, and the vocation of your pawns. It will always give an item that a class in your group (melee, ranged or magic) can use, so you can easily game the system if you are looking for a specific item. Once the item drops, it sets itself as one of three possible items, and you can figure out which is which easily by saving, purifying the item, reloading, and then switching vocations (and your pawns vocation) and trying again. Note that if you are a hybrid class, you count for both skills, so mystic knight will generate magic and melee items, assassin melee and ranged, etc. The item also isn't guaranteed to be for your vocation, just one in that group, so if you're a strider and your pawn is a ranger, and you desperately want a bow, you can get unlucky and find a billion magick bows. Farming items isn't something you'll want to do until you get the godsbane, since otherwise reloading a save is a complete bastard, and the good poo poo (level 3 items/weapons) isn't readily accessible until super late on BBI, and for the second run through.
