This was my first Splatfest. I chose team future and we lost about 50% of the games. A couple of times i got on teams where we had a great dynamic and won 5-6 matches in a row, but then I'd have some sort of connection issue only to come back in on a horrible team and got trounced. I'm not saying I was great the whole time since every time I lost I switched weapons just to improve my versatility and I am horrible with inkbrushes and splatlings and pretty mediocre with chargers. Out of curiosity, did anyone else notice that during Splatfest splatling users tended to be the least contributing members in the ranking screen? I'm sure they're great if used properly, but as someone who loves the disrupter sub weapon, they were extremely easy to splat.

One of the frustrating things I noticed during Splatfest was a player on my team a couple times who seemed to ink our already inked turf about as much as he inked the enemy's turf. He was level 7 and at first I though maybe he's colorblind and doesn't know about the special settings. Then I realized that there's that's probably not it due to the team colors being pretty high in contrast. Edit: Also gently caress the people who spammed the booyah and come on calls.

Yeah, usually with that high a popularity difference has a wider victory margin. I guess lots of kids love dinosaurs.

Reminder that if the other people in your team are not in America they'll just be wondering why you're spamming "Nice!" when nobody's done anything yet Or "To me!" when you're right next to them

It must look really silly to the rest of the world. Actually, what do Booyah and C'mon translate to in Japanese? I see japanese players occasionally start matches with one of them so I'm curious if they have a slightly different translation too.

There was a new splatling gun released on Friday, so a bunch of people who had never picked one up before tried using a weapon that requires a fair amount of skill to use effectively. Either that, or you were playing against a bunch of lovely splatling users.

I'm not saying there's anything wrong with a couple "Booyahs" and "come ons" but 20+ gets pretty annoying. Anyone one have any advice for using the nozzlenose or its variants? I really want to become proficient with them, really for no other reason then I like using underdog weapons because doing so somehow satiates my own insecurities and makes me feel like a special snowflake.

I try to booyah when everyone else does, but otherwise, it's like squid parties--I only do it when I'm in a good mood. On the other hand, I spam c'mons when my team's losing, and how fast I do it is indicative of how frustrated I am. This game turns me into an rear end in a top hat. As far as the nozzlenoses go, there's a definite rhythm you have to get into when you use them. You can't just jam on the trigger. Once you get the rhythm going, though, you're basically spraying ink forever. Personally, I prefer the L-3D, the one with burst bombs and kraken. The burst bombs soften up targets and kraken is always useful.

I'm kinda disappointed that the Octoling model that was found doesn't seem like it'll ever be used since it seemed like Nintendo was working on it.

There's apparently still one last "thing" left to be announced according to NWPlayer123, so there's still two weeks left of hope for Octolings if we assume that it'll be revealed after all other content is done with, which should be done with this week's Ancho-V Games. I'll be legit disappointed if all that Octoling model work ends up being nothing.

NWplayer123 referred to Arowana Mall being out of rotation while talking about "the last big reveal", which has me thinking that the remaining update is a redesign for the stage. That would be disappointing in comparison to something as big as Octolings.

Eh, I would say that there's been TOO much work done to that model to not have it playable. But for all I know it was shelved at like 99% completed because the designers were needed for something else. To be honest, there's a few QoL fixes I'd like to have before playable Octolings, but that might just be me. I also don't want to know what it is until we get it. E: Blew all my drat snails rerolling the zekko hoodie. Ended up with two sub ink savers and one main ink saver, which...isn't bad, actually, considering I intend to use that hoodie for sneaky rollers and brushes. Having extra burst bombs is always handy. I spent the last of them on the red hi-tops, got two swim speed ups and a special duration up, which I'm pretty sure offsets the ninja squid speed penalty all by itself. Ink resistance is super useful when paired with ninja squid. Cialis Railman fucked around with this message at 07:32 on Jan 18, 2016 |

It was obvious the playable octolings thing wasn't going anywhere. They'd have to do quite a lot of additional stuff to make it work. And apparently Nintendo wasn't willing to invest in that manner.
