What work had been done on playable octolings? The videos from months ago were just from somebody who swapped the player model with the octoling model from the singleplayer campaign. The animations all worked because it's literally the same rig.

I believe it's the fact that the Octoling wasn't just a basic model for the sake of the campaign and actually had eyes with changeable colors. But yeah, it's probably just a workable model swap. Having playable Octolings would be fun, though!

It's definitely a feature, however, yeah, an unfinished one.

I liked that Splatoon pretty much remained without crossover stuff, just all the content being made to establish its own identity with some very minor nods to other stuff. That said I want amiibo costumes on Spla2n. https://www.nintendo.co.jp/wiiu/agmj/update/ 2.5 on wednesday, looks like just minor fixes on a few stages? wait, i think it means tomorrow night actually because timezones

Seems Google mistook "labor/handling" (made up of the characters for hand and numerous) for "fingers" in some bizarre manner. Essentially it meant "Sorry you have to download to get the update." If you're curious, the rest of the text is about map fixes for Walleye, Arowana, and Piranha Pit, and actual battle issues for the museum and Mahi Mahi.

Awesome, Arowana Mall's coming back. I like that map. Well, it took a very long time, but I think I can finally say I'm Pretty Good™ with rollers now. Or at least not an active detriment to my team. Most of the time travel fiction I've read is authors either jerking off over the Wehrmacht or jerking off over the Confederacy. Looks like the servers will be down between 4:50 PM PST and 6 PM PST for the update. Full patch notes here (v2.50). Those adjustments they're making for a more pleasant gaming experience better include a button to skip the newscast.

Was Arowana Mall actually reworked? Or did they just fix some seams people were jumping through. Also after all this time playing Arowana and Urchin underpass definitely didnt feel like they needed the fixing. I mean Urchin underpass having a more open middle is great. but the real issue is how easy it is to get base camped in both versions of that map because your funnel-out geometry from spawnpoint to the centre are all way easier to defend and hold as an attacking team then the spawning team. Instead Kelp Dome, Moray Towers and Camp Triggerfish really feel like the standout failures in turf-war mode. Basically all the ranked mode changes in Kelp and Triggerfish are perfect, never came across Moray in ranked. Wish we just had the ranked mode versions of the maps for turf war too.

Au contraire, meine kleine freund! I think Kelp Dome, Moray Towers and Camp Triggerfish are all good turf maps. As in I consider them challenging and in the end rewarding stages. Rainmaker on Camp Triggerfish is poo poo, though.

Tower on Triggerfish is pretty good. Ancho-V drops tomorrow at 6pm PST. I'm interested in seeing just how those platforms will factor into gameplay. I can't choose between the Krak-On Roller and the Carbon Roller. The Carbon's got speed, and it's always fun to get up on someone and whack 'em, but the Krak-On's got better range and better lethality.
