ACA: like a lot of people said, the compassion of the IRS coupled with the functionality and service of the DMV. And amounts to a handout + consolation handjob to the entire health insurance industry.

PS: I am neither liberal nor conservative so don't start the namecalling. I just have a serious hatred of 99.999% of politicians and the terrible system we have for self-selecting power whoring douchebags to lead our nation, then bribing them to do the wrong thing.

If we wanted to actually fix this we'd either start ripping apart the system and actually force it to be fair, or go single payer. I don't particularly care which, but the boondoggle we had and the boondoggle we have now are bullshit. But nope, everyone will keep voting for shitheads based on what letter they have next to their name, and said shitheads will keep accepting lobbyist money and voting for whatever they're told to while grandstanding to everyone and pretending it's not their fault.

sanders/paul/giant meteor triumvirate 2016

I'm not victim blaming poo poo, Rhyno's in the bullshit gap generated by the ACA being half-measures as written to placate the insurance companies rather than a single payer system which is what it should have been in the first place. That said, his option is sack it up and pay now and get health coverage for his money, or pay almost as much to the government in the form of tax penalties next year and still be at 'might as well shoot yourself' status if literally any major illness hits him. :smith:

I only liked the Eagles because they were the only thing my parents listened to besides Barry Manilow, the Carpenters and other easy listening bullshit.

It was like getting a break from poo poo music to something that was actually enjoyable. So I like the Eagles

amazing how when everyone pays in at all times and the government can negotiate cheaper prices for hardware/drugs, everyone ends up paying less? what a concetp

thats my other thing, i have less and less hope for humanity the more i see great ideas being twisted into morea nd more cash grabs for the fuckheads that have been elected to power in this country. we should have gone for single payer from the start, but we get this watered down bill that manages to be a net improvement while still being unequivocally terrible.

Yeah but come on, tell us the truth here - if you get really sick or injured the non-elected bureaucrats that make up the death panels tell you to go die quietly in the corner, and the wait lists for even the most routine of checkups are so long that visiting the doctor is pointless because by the time you finally manage to see a doctor your illness will have either run its course or killed you.

You know - things that never happen in :911: THE BEST HEALTHCARE SYSTEM IN THE WORLD (tm) :911:

Seriouspost - we were never going to get single payer passed on the first attempt when roughly half the country believed what I posted above would happen when the ACA passed. I think that given the way the bill was passed they should have at least established a government-run option, but its going to take a political sea change before single payer could even be considered a possibility.

Unless you have a FSH which details that the oil has been changed by a reputable garage with fully synth at frequent intervals (like 6k) get it booked in somewhere for a sump drop and clean (which unfortunately will cost you a bit of labour as it isnt simple). I would be temped to do that even if it has a oil change history but you don't have a receipt for a recent sump drop in your hand. You need to ensure that it has the latest PCV kit installed too.
These engines have issues with oil sludge. Frequent oil changes, the PCV kit and occasional sump drops for cleaning are they way to get round it.

I had a 2001 9-3 for a couple of years. It was a nice car but it was incredibly expensive to run and maintain (and cost virtually nothing to buy!)
how much will the sump drop and pcv kit cost me would you say?
