But people are putting additives in for flavor, smell, more smoke, etc. Now people are figuring out that things that are perfectly safe to eat may not be perfectly safe to vaporize and breathe.

More research needs to be done, but compared to the alternative, they are immeasurably safer.

Yeah, but that's as an alternative to smoking actual cigarettes. Just because it's healthier than cigarettes doesn't mean that it's healthy. I quit smoking cold turkey and never got into vaping. I'd like to try it, but I want to wait a few years and see how all these health concerns shake out.

Spent too long looking for a good version of that picture. Didn't see your post until I came back now.  As a delivery vector for nicotine it's much safer. But there are some weird things that people are doing: like high wattage/heat vapes, additives and such. Alcohols(PG,EG and glycerol) are super easy to manipulate chemically, and the conditions in a vape aren't exactly constant and predictable. eh, I dunno. Err on the side of caution is what I'm saying. If you're not a current smoker, I wouldn't even consider it - but I smoked for 12 years, and tried everything to quit to no avail. I tried vaping once, and never went back to cigarettes. I can breathe, taste and smell things, I can run up and down stairs, and I don't smell like an ashtray all the time. It isn't "safe" - agreed. But it is 95% safer than cigarettes, and super effective as a cessation device- and we should be really careful before we just bash it because we don't know "enough." It can save lives, and therefore, we should support it - even if it is super douchey.
