Marsh is a scratchy batsman. Even in these days of big bats and t20 cricket being able to flick the ball around the field is such an important skill. All the best batsmen can still find singles. Look at how often Smith for example farms a single off a spinner by skipping down the wicket and just pushing the ball to the fielder on the mid on boundary. I reckon one of the easiest ways to spot a good batsman is the ease they find the gap
