I like how the demons are pretty on top of things despite being such silly weirdos. It probably helps that they have had external threats and strong leadership for thousands of years.

I gotta admit the fight sequences are kinda meh. This manga is all about dialogue and faces. Uh... are they demons? I'm not really sure. There doesn't seem to be a Demon World or anything in this setting, it's just a country full of various races collectively called demons, surrounded by other countries, one of which has humans. It's not clear if the races to the south are the same either. Maybe they're actually elves or something, who knows?

Kenros probably figures if he's Helck's friend, Edil can't really be that much of a bad egg. Actually at this point all the demons are probably aware the winged humans are under a mass brainwashing spell, considering they're clearly briefed by Azudora to some degree. Rip sweet tooth barrier man

I like that this chapter shows that the awakened humans still have a little bit of free will. Edil, for example, clearly intervened in the fight between Mikaros and Hyura to save Hyura's life. It's probably some sort of "exact words" thing going on, i.e. the king says "go and fight the demons" without any specific details. This allows the humans to follow the orders to the letter while still being able to do as they wish. I just hope Mikaros doesn't figure it out, or that loophole will be closed real quick.

The controlled humans pulling the old jackass literal genie routine on the king would make a lot of sense, especially that the ones with some level of personality left probably aren't exactly happy about being forced into essentially being slaves like that. They're like the borg, even if you win they're going to come back just that little bit more dangerous.

And the only way out is if Helck reaches and kills the king in time in the human capital so the humans regain their senses and they stand side-by-side with the demons to defeat the northerners. The humans get victories to seem threatening, Helck gets to travel for a time and basically get put out of the way until he's needed, and everything is generated for Maximum Drama. That's what I don't want
