I try casting Firecounter, or whatever the first magic Knight spell is, but it doesn't seem to work. Dude raises his arm and makes a glowing ball appear, and the button flashes saying the spell name, but dude just kinda stands there posed until I hit jump to regain control. I don't know if I'm supposed to hit a button combo or something or what.

You have to wait until the bar under the spell name fills up, then release the shield button. You'll enchant your shield with fire and when you block it'll release small puffs of fire. If you perfect block (you'll know if you do) you launch them back and shoot a fireball at them.

http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197972352219/ I think this should work. Also, did they seriously remove the Berserk gear, I was hoping to put Big Pat in Guts stuff so she can finally have a decent costume instead of the lovely mishmash of early game armors.

Has anyone put together a listing of players and their pawns? Back when this first came out someone had a Google spreadsheet or something where people could add their pawns with their vocation/level/inclinations along with the player's id so you could search for that pawn in the rift. Since pawns at or below your level are free that might be a good way to share more pawns without having to add a million steam friends. I can start one later if no one else has done it yet and I'm not the only one who thinks it'll be useful.

Will there be significantly more story found in the Everfall or can I just go ahead and read up on all that stuff somewhere else without spoiling anything cool? The game isn't over. At least do the 20 Wakestones quest in the Everfall and go see the real ending(s). EDIT: I misread your post. The Everfall has hints of story as you explore it, like what pawns become when separated from their masters, and what it means for you to be (apparently) stuck there forever. It's nothing overt; you just kind of learn and feel it passively. You can stay and explore and fight til your hearts' content, but if you want the story to expand and ultimately finish, completing the Wakestone hunt will lead you to an actual ending. If I use a mod or Cheat Engine to change stat growths, is there any risk of my pawn access restricted? I set it so that the game doesn't upload my main pawn, but I still use other peoples', and I still want to be able to rate/gift them.

Gifting people with lovely/weird pawns rocks is the best because there's no way to tell if it was once a rare item or was just a rock the whole time from their end and it'll make them paranoid that they're "trade banned" or whatever.

A hot tip for new people starting out and in need of good curatives: pick every single Grangrape and Apple you find lying around. Keep an eye on your inventory, as they should eventually turn moldy after 2-3 in-game days (they'll become a separate item with a slightly different icon; don't let them sit for too long, or they'll become rotten and useless). Combine them with a plain ol' Flask of Water and you've got yourself a reasonably lightweight 600 HP curative that can be made for practically nothing. If you need a good supply of fruit, the area to the direct Southeast of Gran Soren (follow the path you escorted the ox along and take the other fork just past the gate with the portcullis) is filled to the brim with Grangrapes and Apples, and they respawn after about two days. (They're also packed full of goblins, so it's a good place to go if you're looking to advance a vocation.)

I would add: Keep those large nuts. There are several Harspud milks, sauces etc in the game which are pretty good (restore both health and stamina) but also super heavy. With nuts they combine to potions which restore either health or stamina to the entire party and you can dump those on your pawns.

A very high probability of you being restricted from pawn sharing if you do that (your pawn that is), Capcom has tons of checks in place that pawns must go through, and messing with your stat growths seems like a good way to mess something up that will result in you showing to other players as "Corrupt". If the stats don't add up correctly according to Capcom.

Has anyone else had issues with popping noises happening in the game? I first noticed it in the Duke's Demesne where it would happen in quick succession unless I stopped moving, and since then I've noticed it happens at varying frequencies in other locations. I think it happens whenever the game loads a torch or some other light sources, but I'm not 100% on that. Also how many RC do the multi use character remakes go for?

Is there a set formula for this? The wiki is vague at best and the best I can get out of it is "+/- 25% XP affect per party member". I'm using a friend's pawn who is a handful of levels higher on average, idly curious how that's effecting my XP gains.

You can use two Arts of Metamorphosis to change to female, Dragonforge what you need, and then change back. You can't crossdress with everything. There are female armor pieces that just can't be worn by male characters at all. Two I came across where some panties and a dragon cult skirt. That's a much easier way to do it, and shouldn't be that much of a problem now that pawns bring in large amounts of RC.

If you want to be exact, my recommendation would be to go to the barber's and look through the various options so that you can write down the variant number you selected (e.g. face #23, ears #4, etc.) so that it'll be easier to recreate it when you do switch back. Or you can finally just fully embrace looking cute + feeling cute.

There's a healing spring against the mountains south of shadowfort that's surrounded by goblins and makes going from 15 to 25ish much much less painful, and then you can just kinda wander around after that. Drop a portcrystal there and you get free good healing items for the cost of a couple of ports and a stack of empty flasks. Spoilering exactly where the spring is in case you want to find it yourself
