This episode had some parallels with the gang goes to the jersey shore which are a bit interesting. Reluctant little Charlie once again winds up having his own version of a great adventure and having a wonderful night, Dennis is again trying to recreate some past moment of grandeur and ultimately has a miserable time. Mac basically is just looking to chill out and party and after a few twists and turns winds up doing exactly that. Dee nosed in.

This latest episode has to be the one time the characters (Mac and Dee mostly) were playing straight-men to people even weirder and more awful than them.LividLiquid posted:What does this even mean? I see people do this so often about Reddit or Tumblr, but the former contains both fat shaming and social justice subreddits, and the latter is as much memes and porn as anything else. Reddit has basically become another shorthand here for fedora/neckbeard/etc. Or "nerdy/geeky people we don't like".

During the previews I really was down on this concept, thinking it'd be another imagined success like the high school reunion. Having them play it straight was the last thing I expected and it wasn't perfect but drat it was good and really interesting.

Whenever you have a group of people with a name for themselves it's sort of inevitable that whatever name they have will eventually be shortened into a nickname. I can see why you're upset because you don't like that particular nickname, but you can't fight fate you can only come to terms with it.
