As the months turned into a year, then two, it kept moving further back into the store and higher up the wall. But it was always there and always caught my eye. So one day I'm telling the manager about a repair debacle I endured at his store and much to my surprise he takes my receipt and says that he's giving me store credit for the full amount. I really don't need anything, so I ask him to pull this Tele off the wall. It's covered in dust and the strings are rusty, but it plays well and everything works, so I pay the few bucks difference and take it home for next to nothing. I liked the stock humbucker, but not the neck pup. I replaced both of them with Bill Lawrences - and still am not happy with the neck pup due to it's waaay low output compared to the bridge. One of these days I'll get this thing just right. (I'll keep digging these things out if there's any interest.)
