His opponents bought it because LOL BU$HITLER IS A BRAINLESS MONKEY. He can't pronounce nuclear. That says a lot.

Subjunctive posted:Sure don't want kids knowing about them homos, no siree bob. Yeah, that was my point. Not that Paul Dini really likes to draw sexy pinups of all the female Batman villains, and took the opportunity of turning his show into a weird, sanitized 60s pulp lesbian fantasy for a few episodes. EDIT: And to be clear, neither character is ever stated to be specifically gay or even bisexual in the comics. Harley and Ivy are both written to hit on men constantly with terrible "bad girl" dialogue, and every time they're shown together, it comes off like the first few minutes of a lesbian porn scene. Subjunctive posted:Glad we're on the same page. (Why does it matter that it was a lesbian fantasy, and not a heterosexual one?) Because it was a heterosexual man sexualizing two female characters in a personal fantasy, then shoehorning into the show. It really shouldn't be that hard to believe a comic writer might be kind of creepy about women.

Change.org email me petitions every now and again, and my God are some of them retarded. https://www.change.org/p/simon-robe...urated_trending TLDR - Boots' pricing is sexist because women's products are more expensive than the male equivalent! No poo poo, that's because women are willing to pay more, not because the CEO hates women (who are the majority of his customers). Read a little into market forces before getting on your high horse. If women want to pay more for pink razors, then people are going to sell overpriced pink razors.

There seems to be a ton of things that are "X for girls *tee hee*" which is just X except painted pink and more expensive. Granted the worst tools I ever had the misfortune to handle were ones that were labelled "tools for women." The things were made of flimsy pink plastic, obviously cheap steel, and were double the price of actual tools. I was like "what is this crap?"

EvilGenius posted:Change.org email me petitions every now and again, and my God are some of them retarded. That doesn't make it right though. This issue is a whole thing stemming from childhood that pink=girly and using 'masculine' products is somehow wrong. Also a lot of shops now separate the men's and women's toiletries so it takes (admittedly a small amount of) effort to check the prices. Personally I have a epilator that I have had for probably over a decade, and now use a Mooncup so I guess I have #lifehacked paying extra for razors and tampons. Yay me. http://www.theguardian.com/fashion/2016/jan/19/the-sexist-surcharge-how-women-get-ripped-off-on-the-high-street quote:These are hard times to be a female shopper. Whether you spend your money on pens, razors, designer fragrance or plain old Marks & Spencer vests, you will pay a surcharge just for being a woman. In theory, men and women enter stores equal – but, in practice, the shelves each gender browses, the aisles each chooses, lead them down very different paths to the cash register. Products marketed specifically at women routinely cost more than similar or identical products marketed at men. Rondette has a new favorite as of 13:59 on Jan 25, 2016 |
