Isn't that what Closet Cosplay is, pretty much?

I think the definitions are that Closet Cosplay is making up a costume out of stuff you already happen to have around the house but Casual/Everyday Cosplay is making up an outfit out of off-the-rack clothes and accessories that is inspired by/mimicking a character, but there's a lot of crossover between the two. I think that Casual Cosplay may have started as a may to circumvent Disneyland's "No costumes" rule for park visitors???

There's hundreds and hundreds of these:

Okay... Keep your head, Steve boy...

That stuff is more about distilling a fantastical character design down to something that can be represented in "normal" clothes (usually through color choices and a few representative accessories). Which is neat too, but I meant more cosplay of characters who are pretty much in "normal" clothes to start with.

While thinking of other examples I fell into a hole of looking up Life is Strange cosplay, so let's just go with that.

(Man, Kate Marsh cosplay must be hard to do in public without having people genuinely worried whether or not you're okay)
