i too am not intrigued by the star citizen drama because it requires me to research to even have a chance of finding something funny about it, of which there is no guarantee i would c g s: going to be starting ground zeroes (then phantom pain) tonight. besides knowing the pp ending is bad is there anything i need to know to make the whole experience as good as it can be

ground zeroes is pretty straight forward but if you do all the extra ops and rescue the pows you get some pretty decent soldiers in phantom pain. you can do the missions whenever though, just make sure to upload the data in ground zeroes main menu and download it in phantom pain

i wasn't really into the MGS series *at all* and I liked MGSV. it's a good game. never finished the last act or whatever but i got a solid 50+ hours out of it.
