I bought some olympic rings to use in my power rack a while back but I'm kinda at a loss as to what to use them for outside of press ups and dips. Anyone got some and want to share some ideas? Need to work on my upper body a bit more than I do as my arms look garbage compared to my legs (thanks squats!)

welp my knee still feels odd when i put weight on it even though it's been two months since i was diagnosed with runner's knee. the weird thing is that the vague "pain" doesn't manifest until like 1 or 2 days after i strain the knee. i guess this is what i trying to do rack pulls to get around the injury. but it's time to begin my cut so i guess i'll take a 2 month break from all leg stuff and hope really hard i don't lose too much muscle. is it possible to know what's going on in my knee or are joint/tendon injuries still basically magic as far as medical science is concerned?

Trying to work around my shoulder issues is what led to 9 months of constant pain. Take 6 to 8 weeks properly off. Sleep and sit down a lot.

activity induces healing in the tissue. you should be constantly putting stress on your knee and work through the pain until it disappears

Might want to get an x-ray and consult with a specialist, knees can be tricky and once you wreck them it's an eventual decline down to a walker.

I got an inzer belt for christmas and it holy moly this thing is stiff I've never had a belt before, are they normally like this what am I supposed to be feeling other than a supreme thought of "why did I want this" and "I'm going to look like a bitch when someone squats 400 without a belt next to me"

Belts don't magically make your squat better, they're for getting more burn in your abs.

Runner's Knee is not associated with structural damage. If you're feeling the pain a day after lifting you probably didn't do any structural damage either. Do you roll/stretch your quads, IT bands, and hip flexors before/after lifting? Are either your hamstrings or quads overdeveloped compared to the other? I used to warm up with really light leg extensions for a few sets of 20 before squatting when I was experiencing some PFPS and that also seemed to help.

I used to warm up with really light leg extensions for a few sets of 20 before squatting when I was experiencing some PFPS and that also seemed to help. I do some dynamic stretching in a squatting position so that I can actually go parallel, but that's about it. Don't know if my hamstrings are underdeveloped. I don't really work on them especially hard. I mostly stick to deadlifts and squats, though I do some glute-ham raises with a light load I think it might actually be bursitis. I am not a doctor though http://articles.sun-sentinel.com/2010-11-22/health/fl-jjps-knee-1124-20101122_1_bursitis-persistent-pain-cortisone-injection This describes my situation pretty well. It does feel like it's some kind of soreness and pressure under the knee. Symptoms appeared pretty soon after I started doing Texas Method. I was already doing HIIT 2-3 times a week so I guess my knee just plum gave out under the extra stress. Thanks for reading my knee blog everyone
