I think that's why I like the Jedi Knight storyline more than others since at the final battle you actually go to Dromund Kaas, it feels like you're invading enemy territory. I would have loved to have gone to Coruscant as my warrior and slaughtered Jedi and the Senate

To go back to node guarding when solo queuing my solution is simple...if nobody is lined of for the off-node in NC before the gates drop I leave. In CW and AH I ask who's planning on guarding...if nobody answers I leave. More often than not that takes care of it. If I don't feel like taking a chance I queue on my Darkness Sin and do it myself. Good node guarding is like good healing, it can tip a mediocre team over the edge to good. Fake Edit: just got my first "ur reported fckng hcker" compliment of the night. Kids these days really don't like them vowels.

My drunken ire last night wasn't even targeted at the node guard. We kept losing the node in NC because assholes were death matching outside the node so a stealth enemy would go in and cap the node. I'd run to the node that got lost and retake it myself because thankfully the other team was being as stupid as mine... But as soon as I did the other node I wasn't at starting getting capped. I'd run back and retake it, and the other one would get capped. I was so infuriated and enraged, screaming on chat. And of course, no MVP votes afterward even though I capped like 7 times and we ended up winning with 4% left.

If you're in combat zoom out and face your camera to the objective people.

Last night we were getting our poo poo pushed in at mid so I went to try to stealth cap, and ended up passing the dude who'd been guarding while he was on his way to mid. I circled the node for a minute because I was certain there was a stealther waiting but nope, dude just wandered off. Thanks buddy!

So, my wife and I are leveling characters together but we've run into a problem. There are quests I know are there, I can see the icon on the minimap and she can accept them, but I can't. I have exploration missions turned on, but the NPCs just don't have the icons over their heads.

I feel like I make a huge difference and I love it but no one gives a poo poo or notices. I had a game on Novare coast where I solo capped both the east AND the west emplacement from neutral because literally every other person on both teams went south and didn't even notice there was an uncapped node. I also had someone tell me to go harass an emplacement when I was guarding one of the nodes so I could "do something useful besides just sitting there." Motherfucker i capped the node, kept a steady stream of would-be stealth cappers at bay, then fought a 2v1 long enough for reinforcements to arrive while killing one of the attackers on my own. We won the game because I "did nothing" while guarding that node like it was my firstborn. Did I get an MVP vote? Nope. Stupid fucks.

Stealth capping bother me so much. I tell people to fight at the node/door every time yet so often everyone will be miles away while some stealthed rear end in a top hat caps it even when we theoretically have 5 people defending the node. Tons of fun doing it yourself though!

I had a game recently where I went to stealth cap a door in Voidstar and the guy used his CC breaker while I was capping but instead of stopping me he ran away.

Yeah  This is why unless I'm on at least a half-premade I go in fully expecting to lose and just go and do whatever. If the team has a brain, I'll help out. If not, then we let fate decide. I just went 0-4 on Imperial side. Had a Civil War where we capped both sides right up front, but of course everyone still deathmatched in the middle so we lost.

They are shockingly bad. Like, way worse than Empire overall even though there are a lot of bad players on both sides. I don't know why this is but it's very noticeable.

As someone who's bad at PVP, there are players who are somehow even worse than I am on both sides, but way more on Republic.

Better players and premades tend to go Imp because the Ranked solo queue is more Imp friendly. Also it's pre-season for Ranked so Ranked players have nothing better to do than pillage regs. Your average pubbie is just as bad on either side. One of these days maybe Bioware will smarten up and make PvP (or at least Ranked) cross-faction. I queue the majority of time on the Pub side and very rarely lose but I also travel in some fierce premades. I specifically enjoy picking on Imp players who expect to win just because they're Imp.

I've also been noticing on JC quite a few AFK PvPers. Queue for a warzone, find a place to hide, hope no one notices you're afk and votes to kick you and get your daily credit. Had two in Huttball this morning, just sitting in the corner by our goal. Kicked both of them halfway through but sadly got no replacements so it was 6-8. Also a lot of medal farming when it looks like you are going to lose rather than actually trying. Sitting on a capped node when there's already a defender and the enemy isn't trying to 3 cap, etc. That pisses me off almost more than the AFK people.

I did a CW once where six of my seven teammates immediately made a beeline to "guard" grass. The other dude and I yelled at them that they couldn't ALL go afk guarding and a few did eventually head to mid, but of course at that point it was basically all over anyway.

Luckily they said they're running it more often now so it's easier to get the rep and gray helixes to get them. Gree is a bitch because the only way to get the helixes is the one time quest per character, the daily heroic, and killing Xenoanalyst. Everything else just drops rep tokens.

Haven't played this game since before the first expansion (I think). Late 2013. Decided it would be fun to smack people with lightsabers for a bit... Does this game have the slowest download server on the freaking planet? I can't leave the starting world because in the time it took me to create a character, poke around and relearn the game, and level to 12 (which is stupidly accelerated now, XP must be triple at least?) the game is still only 39% downloaded, and appears to be coming down at a whopping 512kb/s. What the hell? Any known way to speed it up, or is the game patcher really the only way to get it? Also, looks like a huge number of side-quests that I vaguely remember were eliminated, presumably because of the XP boost? I apparently have about a dozen stupid little robot pets for whatever reasons now too.

Same, my connection did cap out during the download. You can try to switch download mode from continuous download to regular download mode - that will bypass the 3rd party download the launcher uses by default, so it may eliminate the issue if it's some hiccup for that software with your computer or your network.

Anyone else make a point of getting all the datacrons? I am down to only the Rishi treasure hunt bullshit remaining and...goddamn. Some of what you have to do to get these things is just brutal. The Makeb jumping festival was especially punishing. Thank god the devs made these things legacy-wide. Playing on a PVP server made this little endeavor especially fun. Oh well, at least I can proudly say that I am a Galactic Datacron Master on my resume.
