yeah instead of actually caring and supplying aides directly to those places just so, you know, improve their actual lives

what happens in the end is those places like the illegal tin mines just sell their materials to other suppliers who can obfuscate their source well enough

or you've just killed all those jobs for those poor people with nothing else to do besides mining in those mines

congratulation you've resulted in more suffering instead of everyone having a job, but at least you can feel good about it right??

Facing allegations of child labor in their supply lines, [multinational corporation] released a statement regarding supplier labor practices. The company states "this is actually a good thing", explaining that children fired from factories and mines must often find worse-paying and more dangerous jobs when they cannot be hired, many times turning to prostitution. "However," the company elaborates, "we had those kids fired so that you white people are happy and to keep bad headlines away. We hope you sleep better tonight."

when they were putting up the suicide nets, foxconn employees had lower suicide rates than the general population in mainland china.

but employees typically live on site. so they were committing suicide on site. and foxconn took action. good on foxconn.

nah child labor is bad and they do check for it

the problem is that they wont be able to catch the child labor if the worker themselves provide falsified id or documentation just so they can earn some money and send it back to their village and whatnot

how come if you make a usb type-c cable it doesn't have to follow any standards

it's so bad there are people who review nothing but type-c cables, and then destroy their own computers and diagnostic equipment

that guy's a google engineer and he's probably doing it as his 20% work or something.

anyway, they're bad because oneplus (a bad company) was the first to market with a usb-c-equipped phone, and everyone copied their cables, which weren't designed to spec.

Hi Developers at Rocketship Apps,
I reviewed Adblock Fast, com.rocketshipapps.adblockfast, and found that it violates section 4.4 of the Developer Distribution Agreement. This particular app has been disabled as a policy strike.
Just as a reminder, you’ve agreed to follow the Google Play Developer Program Policies and additional enforcement could occur if there are further policy issues with your apps.
If you’ve reviewed the policies and feel this rejection may have been in error, please reach out to our policy support team. One of my colleagues will get back to you within 2 business days.
I appreciate your support of Google Play!

The embarrassing moment came as Ms Hillier asked if he understood the public anger at revelations Google only paid tax at the equivalent rate of 3%.

This followed a deal with HMRC to pay back £130million in corporation tax, an arrangement derided by all sides of the political spectrum.
