He is not a nice man.

 Ah Episode 3  As you all might recall I mentioned how Episode 1 reeled me in, but it took Episode 2 to sell me on this being a solid series from Telltale rather than having just 1 good episode (again I was coming off GOT being meh). Episode 3 though is what made me realize that this was a something really special. Like others have said, Gortys was a wonderful introduction to the cast, a kind of innocence we really don't see in Borderlands, but coming across with that rare combination of cuteness and naivety that doesn't bug players. Athena joining the group and her interaction with everyone was well handled by Telltale in this game (again, as opposed to GoT and its canon characters).Finally this title card is my favorite. true it doesn't quite have the "action" oomph of the previous ones and while the later ones are also fantastic, this one to me really did two things well. A. It establishes character building moments in an efficient 2 minute package that feels organic to the story and 2. It reinforces that with Telltale games, its really the characters that are most important. They bring the life to the story and well made characters can say a lot without speaking at all. anyways, enough rambling Work with Jack! It seems a lot of people don't understand what this choice actually is. The choice isn't between trusting and not trusting Jack, the choice is Agree to work with Jack until we decide we don't want to anymore or Tell Jack to gently caress off and never work with him ever. These are two very different sets of choices, and I feel some people are voting based on the wrong set.

I disagree. I just went through to count up the votes and I feel a fair amount of people who are voting to be partners are doing so with the stipulation of "...for now." Just a lot of them are using the word "trust" instead of "partner", probably since the option to turn him down uses the word "trust". I will admit that I didn't really vocalize any reasons we might want to tell him to gently caress off during the video and maybe unwittingly pushed for people to trust Jack by shitposting in my own thread. It's something I'll have to learn to live with. I hope someday you can all forgive me.  That being said I'm closing the votes a couple hours earlier than I mentioned because I'm getting impatient and excited and want to record and I don't think the result is going to change in two hours. Let's take a look at what came of the votes! Partner up! - 42 Turn him down! - 23 Not bad, not bad. Agreeing to be (at least) temporary partners took an early lead and it was hard for turning him down to really put much of a dent in that... but it's honestly a bit closer than I imagined? Expect the next video in a few days while I gather the footage I need and begin editing.

The nicer Jack is to Rhys the less I trust him, he's definitely got an angle going on but I don't know whether it's just that he wants to keep Rhys alive or something more sinister. Also, Loaderbot and Gortys keep becoming more precious and I hope nothing bad ever happens to them.  And we should totally buy Steampunk Princess and CyberPunk'd because one gives us back our hat and the other makes Rhys' robo arm look cooler.
