harvest moon: a wonderful life had issues, but it understood quality over quantity and thus all four of the bachelorettes were equally best girl i still like lumina and celia more than the other two though, i guess the gc version cuts that down to just celia since lumina is only old enough to marry in the special edition

celia was cool cause she worked at a different farm across the river but she was super chill and friendly, pretty much everyone in the game is the same in that sense but they were all cool

I married the witch in Animal Parade since she was the cutest and coolest. Unfortunately, she then became the most boring. It's the sad fate of anyone you marry in that game.

i have a really soft spot for a wonderful life because it did stuff no other harvest moon game has really ever attempted before or since then, going much more in the direction of a down-to-earth farm life sim with less lighthearted humor and more pure goddamn chill. it was also i think the first one that really tried to keep pumping up steam after marriage, though it did that by literally designing it as the core focus of the entire game i think tonally, it's actually right next to 64 as the most down-to-earth game in the series e; gently caress do i even know what down-to-earth means, am i using it right i don't know it's 1:13 am i need to sleep soon The Colonel fucked around with this message at 10:13 on Feb 3, 2016 |

I probably like Harvest Moon DS the most outta the DS games since it was basically an expanded Mineral Town on speed. It even had the Mineral Town characters if you plugged in the GBA game. Shame about all the bugs early copies of the game had though. Course, you could also avoid all that by just getting Harvest Moon DS Cute instead which doesn't have those bugs. You could even marry the Mineral Town dudes and the game would keep going unlike the original version where the game would just end if you married any Mineral Town girls. Natsume removed being gay though cause Natsume is lame.
