Demons?! More like angels! Why do the Japanese zoos put citrons in their water, anyway? Does it just make for better photos, or is it actually beneficial to the well-being of our friend, the capybara?

I don't know about the lemons, but I've seen lots of videos and pictures with apples floating around and it gives the lazy capybaras a nice floating snack. Most animals aren't fond of lemons, so that might be purely aesthetic.

No pictures, but a small story. My niece likes watching animal videos on Youtube while getting ready for school, and today she stumbled across some videos of tiny babby puppies howling Our dog, Jessica, was very concerned. She perched on the edge of the bed just behind her, ears up and head tilted, very fixated on the screen.

Yeah, I want to say all baby bears are really undeveloped as newborns and don't leave their dens for several months. As I recall, there are several old myths that they're actually born unformed and mother bears have to lick them into shape, which is wacky but not an insanely bad deduction from those bear-lumps.

Okay, I need your help. My Google-fu has failed me for the past few years trying to find a clip I saw many many years ago on AFV. It's a really young girl (2-3) singing Happy Birthday to herself as her cake is set before her. She sings, "Happy day to doooooooo....Happy day to dooooooo" and then blows out the candle and does this extremely excited shimmy. I can't find it anywhere.

As you can see in that mess of black fur and limbs everywhere, they're doing rather well! Not to mention that my older cat is way more chill and a lot less needy now, since they are fulfilling each other's needs. Which is done mostly by sleeping together in weird positions. They're best bros now. Alternate POV: He's crowning! It's a boy! nerdz has a new favorite as of 04:49 on Feb 4, 2016 |
